Livestock brokering

Basically you just need a USDA broker's license, not hard to get, if you're going to buy and sell or have animals under your direct care.  Otherwise, you can just bring buyer and seller together and you don't actually "do" anything with the animals themselves.  Example:  My last brokering deal, I sold a herd of cow and calf pairs, total sale $25,000.  My commission 10% or $2500 for less than an hour actually being involved.  This is the exception though as I knew both parties. Usually would spend several hours over several days. The internet is great for this business and transport is readily available.  Delta is great for transporting small animals and there are transporters for large animals as well.  If you have more questions,  feel free to email me animallady2002@yahoo.com
