Hey Blondee,
What language did you're folks speak before they came here to the great melting pot?....Did they come through Ellis Island, Angel Island, on the Mayflower or in the bottom of a ship in shackles...We're all immigrants....unless, of course, you're a Native American or Inuit.
I speak a few languages and had gotten called outta my office at any given time to translate in the ER or OR. If it helped to save someone's life and/or calm a family's nerves, that was cool with me.
It would be nice if everyone just spoke the king's English.

********************************** Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN
Are we "SLOW LEARNERS" or what?
Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN
"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Moved to main board for more to see...sm
We are not endorsing nor advertising this product. This post was on the New MT/Student board and is a nice discount for all of our MTStars posters, so I thought I'd bring it out for everyone to see.
Thank you Danny!
We have not moved this topic to the Company board. Perhaps you posted it
there initially thinking it was the Main board.
There is another thread on the board...
about this somewhere. The people discussing it there said that the boss was very full of herself. One of them even got hired, but she was just very difficult to work with--pushy and rude, etc. Maybe that is where the line in the ad "Someone who is easy to work with" comes from. That's a two way street. Anyway, I work ophthalmology, but not for three years. I would say those who have specialized in such a specialization would be few and far between and those who have would be making more than .07 cpl.
Look down this board and read the thread titled
"How to make money MT'ing" by Dano. It is excellent advice. It should help you a lot. Also on about page 4 or so there are a couple of threads that discuss how some of the higher producers get their production, hints and tips on expanders, macros, etc.
You can do very well at this line of work if you want to and really appy yourself!!
Interesting thread on Word Board.

Not just in this thread but hostile people on this board always, WHYYYY
It's depressing.
Someone please post the name of a board where I might have to pay to be a member but don't have to listen to all the mean people.
Thread on Jax Transcription is actually on the company board and not deleted.
Apparently no one has any information, just speculation.
You may change the subject if you wish. Start at the top of the board and leave this thread.

Mitral valve prolapse
You might want to check with a cardiologist and see if you have mitral valve prolapse. From 40 on, I would get spells of feeling anxious or wanting to cry for no good reason that I could determine. It got worse such that I felt dizzy and was sure I was going to pass out, but never did. I thought it was an ear problem and saw an ENT. Nothing. My internal medicine doc sent me to a neurologist. Nothing. It got so bad and I was getting so agoraphobic that my next stop was psychiatry for panic attacks after over $1000 worth of lab work. Imipramine made it worse. It wasn't until this point that I really started to notice the palpitations and a heart rate in the 120s. Finally saw a cardiologist who said that this had all the signs of mitral valve prolapse even if it didn't show up on an echocardiogram. He said it wasn't uncommon in women of a certain age. He did a Holter and a stress test, too, and put me on low-dose atenolol (beta blocker). I've been fine since (13 years) save for a few short breakthrough episodes every few years. Exercise helps. Really limiting the caffeine is major (although I do cheat on chocolate). Being careful with OTC medications (no antihistamines) helps. Something other than Novocain at the dentist. Atenolol is an old drug, therefore generic and cheap. I didn't find it sedating, although that is a listed side effect. I hope you can get a definitive answer, because if you feel anything like I did, then I know it is unpleasant in the extreme.
Need expansions for both mitral valve repair

Anybody with mitral valve prolapse that seems to have problems with palpitations. I have had this
fairly regularly for a few years and have given up caffeine. I think they seem worse when I get on a candy craze and just wondering what other people find with MVP.
not pressure, but
Pressure cooker.
Since I bought my pressure cooker (not a fancy model--just a $49 basic job from Sears), now I use it constantly! Even the toughest meat (chicken or pork) comes out fall-off-the-bone tender with excellent flavor. Quicker than regular oven too.
The pressure of it is the killer. sm
You need support, a support system. You need to take control, change your perception of "they are making me do this" to "I can do this for me" not the insurance company. Your mind is where this will work. You do have the power. It is up to you. Decide on a plan with support from good people, a doctor, a group, talk to people who have done it. But first yourself. Talk to yourself. We'll be listening. Good luck!
That is just it, I am not putting pressure on him at all and support him,
but deep inside I am heartbroken and won't let him know it.
