For those of you still fortunate enough to being paid an hourly salary, do enjoy it while you still can. I can't imagine your good fortunate can continue for too many more years. Those were the good old days for me. Like you, Janet, it's 4 cents/8 cents (same company?), and it's not pretty. I get by because I've always been frugal. Now I get to wait around and see what might become of my pension for working 18 years in a hospital. I have at least another 9-10 years before I can retire. I love transcribing still but I keep an eye on the want ads for hourly positions that have nothing to do with medical transcription.
