Saint Simons

Has anyone ever been to Saint Simons. If so, please share the place you enjoyed staying at. We are going the last week in September and can't figure out where we want to stay. The places on the beach are either too high or one, Sea Gate Inn, has some pretty bad reviews. We don't know whether we want to try it anyway or stay in the village. The prob is since we won't actually be getting in the beach that time of year, I would sort of like to stay on the beach so we could walk on it at night, etc. Thanks.

I am no grammar saint...
I make mistakes in posts from time to time. I am just disappointed and frustrated by the "holier than thou" attitudes of working MTs and then they don't even use proper grammar in their posts. I don't want this to turn into a negative thread. What companies hire experienced MTs and actually care about grammar?

St. Simons versus Jekyl Island
Jekyl Island is 7-8 miles south US 17 of St. Simons. They offer beautiful beaches, hotels, bike trails, golf, camping, and fishing. It is a more secluded vacation place. As you already know St. Simons has great restaurants, boutique shopping, etc. Just depends on what you are looking for in a vacation spot. I live in Brunswick. Hope this helps.
