Here is a big problem with speech recognition, while editing a speech recognition report you are reading and listening at the same time; when you do this, you will at times hear whatever is typed even if in fact it is not correct, thus making a mistake such as Hytrin versus Vytorin. This is a big flaw in speech recognition and, from my research and interviews with physicians, one of the biggest reasons why some physicians will not use speech recognition.
