Hi Judy,


I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering this way.  I have an idea for you, if you are not already doing this.  Why not have the doctors sit down and create their own "normals?"  If they are dictating some things over and over, this will save them time during the frequently dictated sections and allow them to slow down during other parts of the dictation.   I love transcribing ER reports, which are generally very fast, and this is what many of the ER doctors do.  It works well for them and also works great for the transcriptionist.  These can be 2-line sporadic normals, paragraph normals, entire page normals, or combinations.  They can get very creative with this.  Just sit down and explain the benefits to them.
