I warned this person that if he kept ignoring me, I would post here, as well as file complaints with the BBB, state governments, and the government agency which contracted his service to perform work I delivered. You would think he would choose NOT to ignore me after I advised him of my intentions. He chose instead not to send me a check (not much over $100), so I went ahead and filed my complaints.

You know what Sandy? You can believe
it's true. I've been an MT for 25 years. I have lots of experience. I don't have to stop and look up much. Also, did you also take into consideration that the $30 to $40 is BEFORE taxes and WITHOUT benefits?
I have had my own accounts at 13 to 14 cpl and made $30 to $40 an hour quite easily. And then on the days when I had doctors dictating cataract extractions/lens implantations, which are routines and I just pop in right or left eye, I have made $60 an HOUR - YES, $60 AND HOUR. Not for the whole day, but for an hour or so, yes.
If you are so sure no one can make money doing MT, maybe you should find something else. Some MTs do not deserve $30 to $40 an hour because they are not good and they are not experienced. Some of us ARE good and experienced. Some of us have worked for 15 or 20 years to get where we are. If you are a relatively new MT, then you SHOULDN'T step right in and make what I'm making.
Thank you Sandy, that was just
Never fear, Sandy, because....
your little "problem" meeting TAT is quickly becoming solved with too much overstaffing, etc. among companies. This appears to be just YOUR problem. I would find it extremely hard to believe that an MT would deliberately try to undermine you by not working her committed work schedule. Goodness, all of this "craziness" because of one innocent question by Julia.
I do! And there was always a sandy spot on it sm
that would tear through the paper, and I'd have to start over. We weren't allowed to use White-Out or corrasable (sp) paper then.
Thank You Sandy and Elizabeth - you are great!
thank you so much for taking the time to help me. Happy Holidays!
I remember Sandy at the Tinley....(SM)
Park office. Or was it the Arlington Heights office? One of those. I worked from home in Wisconsin. Back in around 1996. Loved working for her and the company. It was the best company, the best equipment and the best software platform ever. Flexible hours. That was when the money was good and working was easy. They didn't get all hung up in format and nit-picky things.
Well, we can all rest now that Sandy will take care of MT education!
Ya see, Sandra -- She isn't out of touch if she's an MT. She's already working!! ROFL Despite your ominous warnings!!!
However - Please do post a copy of your diploma or certificate of Proper Education for all to see.
We now have a new authority, everyone! Sandra! Sandra will decide if you have had the proper education to be an MT.
I guess the rest of us are just lowly peon MTs who aren't really getting paid and who aren't really working because we never completed Sandy-Dandy's MT School of Proper Education!
Now THAT is hoot!!
We appreciate the laugh, Miss Sandra. Don't want to keep you from your educatin' us MTs in the proper format!
Sounds as preachy and obstinant as some others we've seen on here. Hmmmm.
