Saw him on CMT show with John Fogarty. Great, great singer with a neat personality and drop dead
gorgeous without seeming to know it.
GREAT GREAT SHOW! I still think Ellen Pompeo
should have gotten the Emmy/Golden Globe whatever it was for the show. I like Sandra Ho, her character just needs more depth... Next week looks AWESOME!! Maybe there is still a chance for McDreamy!! First season DVD coming out with deleted scenes! Can't wait to get it & watch it!!
Great show!
Jerry Rice is good but cannot match Drew. What's up with the gangsta rapper? He should have gone first. He doesn't really care. I think he should have gone first.
Rock on Drew.
Oh yes. This show is great.
I love Cesar. He trips me out w/ all that dog stuff. I even attempted some w/ our dog, though it didn't turn out to well, but then again Cesar was not here to show me correctly. It is a good show.
It's a great show.. to the posters below who don't like it...
I always have trouble going into a show if I haven't seen it from the beginning. I sometimes wonder what all the hoopla is about on a show when I try to watch mid-season.This really is a great show, but the drama is overwhelming at times.
That was a great show! Thanks for the post!
I missed about 20 minutes of it, but recorded the rest. Fascinating look at the other side of things. I have always known that the Indian (whatever 3rd world country) workers themselves were not our enemies - its the govts as usual creating all this situation. And now their culture is crumbling and turning into our culture. Poor things! And, while I certainly don't want to lose my job to offshoring, they are right that we as Americans can rebuild our lives and reinvent ourselves. Those people die. They are desperate and that's why I give them 100% respect and anticipate them making leaps and bounds in the industry. They have a great incentive - pure survival. I have also QA'd lots of foreign work. There are occasional bad MTs, but there are some fantastic MTs as well. Sometimes far superior to the quality of USA MTs. So, I'll be looking over my shoulder for sure and keeping my skills current!
I saw a great show on public TV the other day with (sm)
Suze Orman about women & their money. One thing she couldn't emphasize enough (and which I totally agree, even if I don't always agree with her), is, "Ladies, you are NOT ON SALE." Selling ourselves short is the biggest mistake most of us (women) make in our lives. Anyone who accepts less pay tomorrow for work done just as competently as yesterday is putting themselves and their services ON SALE. Don't accept this back-stabbing offer. Find something else - this company obviously has only its own profits at heart, and could care less about its workers, the quality of its product, or the future of MT in general.
Have seen them twice (Las Vegas and L.A.). They put on great stage show. Tickets were under $100.

Great opportunity now. Work full time, show

saw a great show the other night where they separated with fabric strips that had been tie-died
using golf balls. I think this would look great and also be pretty see through so that your son felt like he had his own space but you would still be able to see what he was doing. With a three-year old, I guess you would use a permanent mount curtain rod so that he couldn't keep pulling it down. Good luck!
GEE!!! I'm wondering what the daytime
MTs are going to think about us "nuts" at night....hey new street name "MT Nuts at Night Street". Of course, I work in the daytime too...so I can be crazy all the time.
Is there a good artist out there that can start drawing the city up for us???
Daytime 70, nighttime 65 for my AC settings. nm
..
I find it to be the opposite. During the daytime - sm
the pickin's can sometimes be slim, since other folks snap up the good stuff early-on. But if I work late (like I am now, at 2:00 AM Pacific time), everyone else in the country is asleep, and my dictation pool runneth over.
there are opportunities for daytime work...
just keep scouring the sites...here, mtjobs.com, getmedicaltranscriptionjobs.com, indeed, jobster, simplyhired, but most importantly your local workforce site (unemployment) in your state (they list national jobs too). Good luck!
I had to get Provigil for daytime sleepiness - expensive but works.
Try a sample. CNS stimulant given to night shift workers as well as fatigue from MS or depression.
Rosie
Seems to me it would be hard to have a talk show with several women after having your own talk show. She was mouthy enough then....can't imagine what it will be like for her with the other women taking turns talking. Is that show live? Might get to see them go at it one day when things get too heated. What was Barbara thinking? Or will the friction make ratings go up? I dunno, maybe that is the strategy.
Rosie is a mom ....sm
Rosie is a mom of 4 with female body parts. She is a female. To the poster who insists she is the male is just ignorant and a homophobe on top of that!
Rosie
Seems like it might be hard for her to go from being the only one running the show to sharing it with the other ladies.
I don't think I can watch it with Rosie
on there. If Elizabeth leaves, too, you've got the two people with some sort of class gone...and replaced with Rosie? Yuck. Nothing at all like Meredith..too much of a loudmouth. If Gayle King, Oprah's friend, joined up, that might help a little...but a little bit of Rosies goes a loooooong way.
Rosie O'Donnell
What ever happened to her talk show?
Exactly! Thanks! It's not secret Rosie is the man
in that relationship! Did you hear too that the View ladies per contract are not allowed to cut their hair without prior approval! I wonder if they just added that recently since Rosie is coming on board - picturing that buzz cut she had and all. LOL!
Rosie vs Star (sm)
Why is Rosie so concerned that Star tell all of her business. Who cares how she lost the weight. Rosie is no different. She waited years to tell she was gay. Why didn't she tell that sooner????
not Roseanne but Rosie O'Donnell....
And I heard that Gayle (Oprah's friend) might be replacing Star Jones. When the View started, I didn't like Meredith....and as 9+ years went on, I only like Meredith (and Joy Behar somewhat). I cannot wait for Star Jones to get off the View! She turned into such a bogus person with such a fake smile.
As for Meredith hitting the table....she only does that when they first come out...it became part of her *shtick* on the View but just when they come out for the first showing of the hour.
I wish Meredith the best of luck!! Katie too.
When does Rosie start? I can't wait. Should really spice it up.

If you can show proof you did this work for them, they then have to show they paid it in order
:+
love, love, love the show. hate american idol. this show is for real.
the only reason i entertained watching it was because of mark burnett and as usual he has such genious casting and editing. btw, don't know who anything about "metal" music but these performers make me like it. love marty and jd as performers. HATE JESSICA. susie is so nice and so emotional. it seems they all support each other and enjoy each others skills. regarding ty and bob marley, ty was excellent but he also lucked out on the song! bob marley was genious too and his music is very easy to listen to. i don't like 3/4 of what the others are given to sing but their performances make me love the music. dave navarro shines on this show, very gracious for the most part and letting the contestants down easy when they have to leave. he was great last night with brandon (?). sweet, sweet show. i am so impressed with everyone involved.
Great post. I swear by both Advantage and Frontline Plus-- both work great! - sm
I don't know about "natural" approaches for the house. I have always used flea bombs in the past before the miracle of Advantage and Frontline changed my life. Have not had a flea problem at all since I began using those products about 10 years ago, dose all the dogs religiously once a month with the Frontline Plus except in Dec.-Feb. to save a few bucks and because the ground is generally frozen by then and no fleas are scurring about. -- Hope you get flea free soon.
Thanks to all. Got some great feedback and ecouragement. This board is great.
My rant passed, ate a late lunch, now back to the trenches.
It is a GREAT company and great deal! I've had
Vonage about 6 months now and I love it. The only mistake I made was trying to keep my original phone # - I wouldn't recommend that. You have a temp # for a while, and the other provider can fight for the old #, etc. Go to vonage. com. They have new features all the time! There is even a new soft phone that is a phone on your screen. You don't need a real phone when working - just headset. It has 800 #s you can have very inexpensively - great voice mail. You get emails when you have new messages, etc. I only wish I had used them a year ago! Nothing but good things to say, and I complain about everything!
Sounds like he will do great then. Again, best wishes for great success!

That's great Patti. Thanks. Have a great time at the beach.

You should feel great as a transcriptionist if they think your work is that great!!!
It is not your fault they approached you. I think it would be a different storey if you were the one searching for the job to take away from a company. They obviously want to get rid of the company and if you didn't take the job they would probably ask someone else. You should enjoy the better position and not feel guilty!!
Great post -great job of wording your answer! (sm)
Original poster - I completely agree with this answer, especially the part about finding yourself and using all that you have learned intellectually and connecting that to something that you will also enjoy with your heart!! You have so many wonderful options for your future - much more than many of us.
IT - great program, great support system. nm

Thanks for all the great advice! You guys are great!

I think this goes to show you that SM
when a person goes to another place with the proper attitude (respecting the culture already there, appreciating it and being open to new experiences) you can have a wonderful time.
I think sometimes we in the U.S. have such a need to fashion everything into OUR way of doing things it ruins our ability to appreciate different countries/cultures.
show
I love the show. I think the people learning to dance are very brave. I love George H. too! Looks like a lot of hard work and that it is definitely outside their comfort zone. Good for them!
This just goes to show you that when the
first letters are right and the last couple are right, the mistake is easily missed. No spelling police here, right!?!
It won't show up. it says
1. How much money did you make?
2. Send it to us.
Yes, I know how to show myself as
offline on instant messenger. Sorry, I misunderstood the post. That doesn't make someone stupid because they don't know how to, though. I had never even used instant messenger until about 3-4 months ago. It is a learning process and no one should ever be called stupid because they have not yet learned something.
New to the show
Only recently started watching this show. What is wrong with his leg and why does he pop all those pills?
was that the show with the...
Dumb guy and his *polyfidelity* mumbojumbo??? I just saw bits and pieces of it, but boy if that was my husband...well let's just say he wouldn't be my husband...or anyone's husband...for long! Whatta jerk!
What a show!
That guy was the biggest peice of trash I ever saw. Sometimes it just blows my mind why people as stupid as him want to come on national TV. Does he not realize he is a complete and utter fool? His wife is not much better either. UGH - She is only staying for the children and that is a shame. Honestly, I didn't really see any love between them.
About the show
I think personally that Paula is a little flaky, nevertheless, I can say I didn't notice anything different from her last night. As stated below, Carrie started the show. It was just a regular show I thought. No exciting moments, other than that nasty Brenna going home. She was pouring that "get money" thing on really thick. Kinda came off pathetic IMO. Can't wait until next time!!
There are also MTs that don't have anything to show - sm
that feel they must tear down those that do, whether they ever show it off or not. Like people that feel they must scratch or ding new cars they encounter because they themselves don't have the money to buy such.
There are bad apples on either side of the coin. But regardless of whether we have reason to brag or not, it is best we conduct ourselves so that we care about others in the process.
It should show up now, sorry.
One can never have too many friends.........
:)
She is, it is her show, and...
it is meant to attract viewers. Which is obviously does. My son was on her show and she was VERY fair in her decision. We were all very happy with the outcome, not because he won but because justice was served!! and on a TV show no less!!
She will just show up at the ER and noone will
x
Just goes to show you, all the
high-falootin' education in the world doesn't give you class. LOL
This is my new favorite show...
.
LOVE THAT SHOW
I can't wait to see it every week, big fan of INXS, and the reason why the performances are so good is because these singers were professionals to start with, what a great change from the Teeny Boppers of American Idol. Love Mig and JD. The show is like watching a mini concenrt and when Jordis sang that Bowie song last week, I watched it at least 10 times more on line. Glad to see someone else loves the show. Sadly it has not gotten good ratings, so much for class acts getting their just deserves in this fickle society we live in.
