The book of Daniel will have a lot of clues about this, but in a nutshell, the wild beast of Revelation is a composite or sum total of the beasts pictured in the book of Daniel. The beasts in the book of Daniel represented the ruling powers, or governments, of the day. The beast of Revelation represents the same today and gets its power from the great dragon, which is Satan (Rev. 13:2, 12:9), so it isn't surprising that the bible calls satan the ruler of the world (John 12:31, 16:11) and the god of this world (2Cor. 4:4). However, at Daniel 2:44 we're told through prophecy that eventually God will bring an end to all human rulership and will begin exercising his rulership over the human family as the one true universal soverign. He will do this through his son, Jesus Christ (Dan. 7:13,14). The Kingdom mentioned in Daniel 7:14 is the same one Jesus taught us to pray for in the model prayer or Lord's prayer. God's will is being done in heaven because he rules there. So, praying for his his kingdom to come and his will to be done on the earth as it is done in heaven is the same as asking him to take over the rulership of the earth, which he will do. However, that will mean an end to all human rulership here on the earth (Rev. 16:14), which is why the beast of Revelation will be destroyed along with the one that gives the beast its power. That destruction will take place in the "battle of the great day of God Almighty," which is referred at Rev. 16:16 as Armageddon. That is the battle over sovereignty, and that is why it is with the governments (or kings) of the earth. All those supporting those kings or governments will have its figurative mark on their hands and/or foreheads showing that they support the beast with their mental energies (mark on their foreheads) and with their actions (mark on their hands). Those supporting the beast and putting their faith in it will be destroyed along with it (Rev. 19:20,21).

When 19 my roommate got pregnant...she was Catholic but - sm
and went to church on Sunday, etc., had guys use condoms, though 1 x did not only because she was trashed at the time and he forced himself on her (per her story). We discussed her options and both of us firmly believed that abortion was the best option as having it and keeping it was not feasible as (1) the guy denied it was his, though that could have been easily disproved, (2) her parents would have had a cow, (3) she did not want her whole life turned upsided down (yes selfish but at 19 that is the way it is). So a few of us got up the cash ($200), I borrowed a car from someone and drove her to the clinic about an hour or so from our school. Personally I think it was the right decision, but then again I am pro-choice/abortion. I don't agree with people who use it as a form of BC though (i.e. multiple abortions). If I got pregnant now (40) my husband (so he says) would push for an abortion, though at this stage in my life I would have a hard time making that choice and adoption would not be an option either....BUT at 19 I'd do it in a heartbeat. I had a scar in college too, I was a month late, using condoms and a diaphragm....luckily I was not pregnant just stressed out apparently. You cannot make the decision for her. You can point out options and pros and cons and possible later life ramifications, but I doubt it will do any good. My roommate married a few years after we graduated and was very firm in her decision never to have children as she just doesn't want them, to this day she has no children by choice. But your niece will need to learn to be more resposible. If she does not want to take the pill, which is so easy to do and remember (bogus excuse), she better carry condoms with her....plus if she is not careful and sleeps around a lot then she will, I guarantee, get herpes or another STD before she gets out of college. Ask her if she wants that or HIV, maybe she will get to thinking. Who knows.
Check into adoption through local Catholic services, fees in our state (Ky) were based on income and
although expensive, not as bad as private adoption. Still, a long wait, we were told.

The phone system just makes it easier to track reports, no more broken tapes, etc. Plus, drs like it when they can call with an urgent document instead of waiting for pickup. I was hesitant (old dog not wanting new tricks) but I really like it a lot. It also is more secure as far as HIPAA, each dr has a different log-in and all.
Full Core means full CPR code.

I mean it sounds like it is their letterhead, and you're not typing it anyway...Originally it should have been in the header where it would not have been included in the line count. But since it didn't start that way, you better just keep quiet about it. It's only 36c a page anyway.

Safe way of mailing printed reports?
I am currently transcribing and printing reports for a doctor, and pay a courier to go back and forth picking up tapes & dropping off printed reports. Have found a way for the doc to easily send me his transcription digitally, but they still want their reports printed and sent to them. The courier is kind of expensive to just deliver reports. Wasn't sure if Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation would be a HIPAA compliant way of sending reports? Or possibly a Fedex option? Does anyone know of a relatively inexpensive way of getting reports delivered (about 40 miles away) that would be safe and HIPAA compliant? Faxing is not an option, as most are printed letters and the fax quality is just not great. Would appreciate any thoughts/ideas at all. Thanks!
Changing shift and cut in pay both qualify as material changes, but . . .
it is super hard to draw unemployment for these reasons. My state has pretty much the same rule, but even after being forced to change job duties (MT to computer programming), go back to working in house (45 minute drive), go from second to first shift, and put my child in day care (at my old hospital job), I couldn't draw unemployment because I quit.
Are you referring to a cassette tape that has dictated material on it?
I would try to spool it back with the eraser tip of a pencil, but I wouldn't waste alot of time doing so. I've had this happen in the past, and fortunately for me, I returned it to the physician, explained the problem, and he said, "no problem"...I'll just redictated it.
I am again stating here that the single most important thing one can to do to ensure the quality and lifespan of tapes, is to keep them in their plastic case when not in your machine and being transcribed.

Does this seem fair? To charge .16 per line - includes printed reports, copies on disk for one year
and delivery. I do travel twice a week to this office. Plus, at times I will fax or email the reports free of charge. I live in Southern California in an upscale area.

I made a card with a nice close-up photo of hers printed oblong-shaped with a red background, a huge
blank space beside the photo for my message written in silver ink, and some pressed tiny flowers to decorate the edges, then I laminated. She was so proud to show it off to her friends. (You might want to use this idea next year, maing sure you press small flowers first, or you can think of other decors).

Organized religion
basically is another club. It ends up being about its own entity and not the spirituality it is supposed to embrace. Christ said basically the same thing when he was on earth.
Maybe you could get the other employees together to voice your feelings and needs to this employer to see if you can prompt some very necessary changes. If not, I would start seriously looking for a healthier work environment.
Remember that it is also not good for the people who take advantage to be allowed to do so (work or personal).
I am so sorry about your friend/co-worker. I hope you can gain strength from this loss to make some changes.

Your comment aboput organized religion is off teh subject and snarky. This person did not die because it was A CATHOLIC hospital and I for one am tired of this sort of modern day sneering. I work at a Catholic Hospital. I absolutely loathe the manager who will not give me a singel Sunday off but she herself is a Catholic and tries to tell me waht church to go to. She's not a jerk becuase of her religion. She's just a jerk. Period. I won't die from stress becuase my life is worth more that 400 lines. But to make off the wall comments about religion is not ok.

It is not about religion being a sensitive subject, it is about
posting on the correct forum. The Main board gets so jammed that we have had to create other forums for particular subjects. We only ask that posters kindly utilize those forums instead of posting every single thing on the Main board.
