Only you know if you did the best thing.  If you didn't already do it, why not continue working on at the rate you agreed, if you don't have anything better going on, because at least you'll be getting income flowing in, and you won't have to sweat it out, BUT feverously market for new accounts, and when you get one, THEN drop them.
