i also have a son with a TBI and spinal cord injury, leaving him a quadriplegic.  The TBI is by far the worst of the two!    My suggestions would be to get him cognitive therapy, get him to see a neurologist who specializes in TBI; there are lots of new meds that really help with focus and short term memory problems.  I can give you some resources I have, for both you and your son - because you have to take care of you in order to take care of him!  Email me if you like!  And - ((((hugs)))) to you!
