i also have a son with a TBI and spinal cord injury, leaving him a quadriplegic. The TBI is by far the worst of the two! My suggestions would be to get him cognitive therapy, get him to see a neurologist who specializes in TBI; there are lots of new meds that really help with focus and short term memory problems.
