May be a dumb question, but is it a download or a CD? Once you pay, can you use it on multiple computers? I have several computers in different locations I use to transcribe, including a laptop, and am wondering if this can be used at multiple computers with just the one purchase. I have found several sites where you can purchase it. Any suggestions as to the best site to purchase it? Looks like a great program. Thanks ahead of time!

I have been using Instant Text for about 2 months now, and I really like it. I am in the process of tweeking it to my docs, etc. I have a questions in regards to productivity. I have set formats that I just pop in which as information that the docs say all the time, such as in the physical examination. However, they do change things here and there, and I have to add and delete at times. Would it be more productive to have these sentences in Instant Text to pop in, or leave as is and do the editing as I read along while the doctor is dictating?
Instant Text users. Do you use markers.. sm
I am new to IT and so far am using my space bar as it is what I am accustomed to but realize there are lots of reasons to use markers. Just curious how many of you use markers and how many use the space bar and what your opinions might be. Thanks!
Question for Instant Text Users
I have been using Instant Text now for about 3 months. I really like it and it has helped increase my productivity. However, I have a question. I use the abcz method for words, but when I make a short for this it wants to pop it in the phrase section, not in the word section. If I add words to my phrase section like this will it clutter the phrase section too much? Also, does anyone have more in their phrase section than in their word section, and if so how is this working for you? I do tend to glance at the phrase section more than I do the word section. Any answers or advice is greatly appreciated. TIA
Question for Instant Text users
I transcribe for 42 emergeny department physicians. Would you create one big glossary or create a glossary for each doctor. A lot of what is said is the same? I have one big glossary now. Which do you think is the best way to go?

All you have to do is add VENTILATION PERFUSION SCAN to the glossary. Type it in your document the way you want all caps with a colon or not, etc. and highlight it and press Alt and the +/= sign at the same time to add it to the glossary and then the next time you want it type vps but look at the list and pick the one you want all caps or lower case. You can always delete the lower case version if you do not need it. Let me know if you need more info. Good Luck

I can give you some info on Instant Text V Pro if you'd like.
The most popular features of IT V Pro include the Importer, the Compilation feature, the Includes feature and Continuations.
The Importer takes abbreviation lists from other sources, such as AutoCorrect, and imports them into IT so you can continue using them without having to start creating a new list from scratch.
The Compilation feature is used to create personalized glossaries by scanning saved documents on your computer and pulling out the most frequently used phrases and words to instantly compile a customized glossary in seconds.
The Includes feature allows you to use more than one glossary at a time.
And the Continuations feature is a feature that brings up what you are likely to type next in your sentence. So for example, if you were to type "The patient", IT will then suggest what you are likely to type next based on what you've typed in the past.
