Were either of these women married to these men? I did say that I did not imply that your friend was somebody who made a stupid chioce, because I do not know that. I was talking in generally about people who have children with men of poor choice, never marry, and then wonder why they're in a mess. I fully realize that women are in situations where they have to get out for their own safety, men cheat, men leave, people die. None of that can be helped. But a LOT of situations could be prevented with a little brains (not to mention birth control). I don't know how you can argue with that. We cannot eliminate the problem, but we certainly could reduce it A LOT! I know that it takes 2 to make a baby, but I've always believed (and taught my 3 daughters) that since we have the uterus, we have to unfortunately take the ultimate responsibility.
