What makes a good QA is being able to be resourceful. Admitting that you don't always know the answer but being able to find it. Remembering that the MTs work on production for a living and getting them their answers as quickly as you can. Keeping in mind that you are/were an MT yourself and don't look above them. Try to provide them with the knowledge that you have. Normally going into QA means you excelled as a typist. So use your knowledge to help them excel as well. Don't knock them for not knowing something. But if you can teach them how to find an answer themselves, teach them the way to do it rather than always giving them quick answers. Teaching the MTs how to be resourceful is a good tool for them to have. But also being there to guide them and help them when they need it, is a good thing to do in QA. Don't make them dependent on you but be accessible when they really need help. Respect them but don't treat them as though you are better than them. Hope this helps!
