I would just take that baby and rub her down with some oil, vegetable, corn, olive, etc. and rub her down with some good seasons, like a little chili powder, garlic, salt, pepper and wrap her up good and tight in some aluminum foil. Git some good hickory wood chips and once the grill starts to cool off from the hottest point, then put that baby out there and let her slow cook for about 6 hours or so. Keep it wrapped up tight so the juices do not escape and if they do, get some worchestershire, oil etc. and baste her up. When a fork separates with the meat to just strands, she is ready for some bread and some slaw/cabbage with a lil vinegar added to the slaw and a lil bbq or A1 steak sauce with a lil mustard added together is better to me and there you go, a good ole southern pulled pork roast samwich!

Pork Roast "partial" recipe because I
usually never measure anything, just eyeball the ingredients, but here goes.
It all goes by taste...like it spicy? add more hot pepper. Like it sweeter? Add a bit more brown sugar.
I marinate my pork roast and/or ribs in apple juice and a little bit of apple cider vinegar (not much...you want to taste the apple, not vinegar), for 24 hours. The vinegar helps tenderize
Then I mix a combination of dark brown sugar, white sugar, a little crushed or ground red pepper or smoked cayenne pepper (regular is okay if you don't have the smoked), a little cinnamon (not much of this either or it will overpower the other seasonings), garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, a little cumin and nutmeg powder (for smokiness) . I mix all this together and rub it into the roast. I use my stovetop smoker or rotisserie to cook the roast.
For the cinnamon is about a tsp, or what fits in the palm of your hand when you curve your hand (not piled high either), The cumin and nutmeg is really a large "pinch."
Maybe some day I will figure out the true measurements, but I've been doing this for years and just know by looking how much of each ingredient is necessary. After a few times, you'll be able to tell how much of each ingredient to use for your taste.
Pork Roast Grill Recipe
I usually make pork chops on the girll, but I have a pork roast that I want to make on the grill and I was wondering if anyone had any recipes. I usually marinate it but was looking to see if someone had another type of recipe using just spices and/or herbs or just something new and different I could do or have with it. TIA.
Left over from wienie roast cheesy potato soup, french onion soup and squished sandwiches.

cabbage
fry it in bacon grease with salt & pepper. YUM!
yummy cabbage
Well, turns out it was just my mom's (sorry mom) cabbage I hated. She used to sorta steam it and it would still be kinda hard and chunky. I used to sit at the table long after everybody else left the table just trying to get it down. Seriously, I used to gag trying to eat it. Well, my MIL (now ex) used to fix cabbage differently and I tried it and love it! Now I fix mine the way she did. I add bacon grease to boiling water and then add cabbage along with salt/pepper. Boil about 20 minutes. Then I might need to chop it up a little smaller. Yummy! Some people like to cook with ham hock for the seasoning too. There are some people around here who mix collards and cabbage together. Collards are too much work though and I like cabbage better anyway. Give it a try!
No, they find them under cabbage leaves,

This makes me very glad we pulled out of the .....
house we originally put a deposit on a few weeks ago and went with another house. The first house not only needed too much expensive exterior work, but I was more than concerned about the 2 COON HOUNDS who were kenneled in the backyard of the house next door. Those dogs make the more Gawd-awful noise when they bark. I'm sure they were hunting dogs and not pets. Every time we were over there, they were in that kennel/run. And we live in a cold climate, so my heart would be breaking in the winter watching those poor animals sitting out in -10 degree weather.
That is weird, the first time I pulled up
her post, it said something totally different (like she was asking what FTP stood for). Ah well, thanks for letting me know:)

This is not just happening with transcription- it is across the board. Just heard a consumer advocate here in town speaking about that yesterday, not on our end but just general public. The thought of employers is that if you cannot be responsible in your financial life, that your job will be the same. This advocatet was against it. Transcriptionists are not being picked out as a single group, lots more people at same place.
I don’t think I pulled your chain, Missie
Was posting to Hayseed. Go back to your pond.
There's nothing to pot roast
You put the roast in the crock pot in the morning and forget about it. At about 4:00 put the potatoes and carrots in with the meat and it's done about 1 1/2 hours later. That's it. Easy as pie. I work and have kids also. But it can be done if you pick the right stuff.
Pig roast
Here, out in the boonies in PA, we call the local pig farmer who comes out the night before with the roaster, the pig and all the other stuff. He sets it all up for you. All you have to do is turn it now and then. Costs about $200.00. Maybe the organizer of the last pig roast could supply you with how they did it. We just add baked potatoes, corn on the cob, get every one to either bring a side dish or dessert, tap the keg, turn up the music and Partaaayyy....
Pot roast
Hi there,
Here is my pot roast recipe for crock pot. I dust it with flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper, brown it in a skillet, then place it in the crockpot with potatoes, carrots, celery, more garlic and pepper and let it cook for 6 to 8 hours on low. It is so delicious!!
Hey, besides transcribing I am also a travel agent. It is fabulous all the perks we get, check out my site at www.manzotravel.com and if you are interested go to www.teamresult.com and watch the short video. Now we get commission on our travel and vacation instead of Orbitz or Expedia!!!

roast beef
I have found the less water you use in the crock pot the better off the roast will be. It makes moisture of its own. I usually just add about 1/4 cup of robust red wine, some seasonings and let it go.
I also roast them with a bit of a twist
Get some Ranch dressing mix, sprinkle a little bit of the dry mix in with the olive oil...most anyone likes ranch anymore and it really adds a kick to them.
Good luck!
For saurkraut lovers, put apples, onions and pork chops in crock pot.
Wonderful meal. Some fresh rye bread with butter. Yummie.
Yep, I hear ya! They pulled the bait and switch on me before I even got started!
Unreal - Recruiter promised one thing - got the instant contract through email with the exact opposite! Bailed before I started! Sorry for your bait and switch.

Roast with potatoes and carrots,
Love my crock pot!
I've been to several pig roast, very good! - sm
As for how to do it, that is if you go the pig route, make sure it is a pig roaster (huge) and have some one who knows what they are doing cook it. It takes quite a long time to cook 12+ hours or more, cannot remember if they started it the night before or not (our old neighborhood had one every year). Or if you don't want the trouble just say you are having a big cookout, go with corn on the cob, hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni salad, potato salad, etc. Obvious have everyone bring a dish if possible. If you know any with Sirius or the other satelite radio you can get some great music. We did both records/CDs and a live band at our pig roast and the annual crab feast. Yum! Had a lot of fun when we lived there.
Starbucks Italian Roast for me, although
I am trying to wean myself off that and onto Pierce Brothers Free Trade Coffee. The Red Eye is a hearty blend, so I may be able to do it--if I take it slowly. I'm hooked...
if the post were pulled wouldn't there be no subject line to open? sm
They don't just delete the guts, the whole thing would disappear.
Roast, potatoes, and carrots in the crock pot...yum!
