Protest Day.......sm

Don't know how big your company is but no one "upstairs" will pay attention to your complaints unless it affects TAT.  If you can get enough people to go along with you, have a monthly "Cherry Picker Protest Day" and take the day off.  Then watch the cherry pickers get stuck with their own work !!    This should get the attention of the higher-ups.

NO! That is terrible. They should protest
at Gov. Rendell's office, outside his home, loudly during his Sunday brunch.....but NOT at the funerals of these children.

But of course anyone who would protest at a soldier's funeral is just a *freak* IMO. There are other places to appropriately protest the war if they are so inclined.

This country is really going downhill fast :-(
Do you still have time to protest? sm
I know that most state and Federal bids offer some sort of protest timeframe after the award announcement. Call the procurement specialist's attention to the fact that this company offshores their work despite having a New Jersey address - we may be able to strike yet another blow.

I know that 99.9% of all contracts, federal or state, have a 30-day window in which they can get out of the contract with the vendor for failure to disclose, failure to perform, failure to adhere to proposal terms set forth, etc.

Worth a shot - even if you are outside the protest window - it amazed me at what a simple email did today.

Let me know - good luck!

Wait a Minute Before You Protest

You know, I used to be very, very opposed to offshoring.  Then I started doing some research on it.  Do you know the primary reason why MTSOs would dare upset their MLS staff by offshoring?  Because this is a 24/7 business and we won't work overnight and we won't do anything "difficult" like ESL docs or harder worktypes.  It's as simple as that.

Before you start protesting, ask yourself these questions:  Do I work overnight?  Am I willing to work overnight?  Would I be willing to take on an overnight shift if it meant the difference between working or losing my job to offshore?

I'm sure by now, you're saying, "No way - I have (kids/family/another job/a life) that I don't want to interrupt for work."  Well, I"m sorry then.  Until we remember the basic reason we're in this situation, we'll never get anywhere.

Do you want to make a difference in whether or not your company offshores?  Volunteer to change your shift to the overnight.  Often times, you can get an overnight shift differential, which means not only will you have more work available but you'll also make more money doing it!

Look - the industry is changing; it has to.  We're the ones responsible for making it this way because we won't do things that are uncomfortable or the slightest bit difficult - Do you do ESL docs?  What about hard worktypes?  No?  Then look in the mirror before you start spouting out about offshore.

We can change this but only by doing our part.  Either we change or we'll be left behind.

U to be right but me thinks thou doth protest
