Another plus about asking for some sort of compensation is that I REALLY get along with my boss. ALWAYS a plus..lol. My only concern is that I don't have a degree in project management so I don't know if they would consider even temporarily putting me in that position. Any thoughts as to how I should bring this up to my boss? I don't want to sound greedy, but I do want to be compensated.

I am trying to work on graduation announcement, but running into problem.  I cannot figure out how to get microsoft project into landscape.  I need 3 columns on a page with the page turned sideways.  It used to be in the print setup, but cannot find it now.  Does anyone know how to do this?
If she is just "working on" a project as a
subject matter expert, you would be right. Her post reads as if she is running the project. If the hospital has a position of "project manager" she should read that job description and determine if it more closely fits what she is doing right now, and then if it is ask for a TEMPORARY reclassification. That is not unreasonable and would certainly be worth discussing with her boss. There is no comparison between running a large project and training a new hire.
You are doing the work of a project manager and
should be given that title and pay scale, at least until the project is fully completed and all changes implemented. Ask for temporary reassignment. Chances are you are so far into the project they don't dare lose you from it now. Good luck!
Been working on a fantastic project at work...sm
Helping prepare for President Bush to come and give his Veterans Day speech from where I work.  It's amazing to see how they put everything together in a few short days. We got word less than a week ago he was even coming, and now we are overrun with preparations and White House/Security staff. Hoping I can get a ticket for my 10 y/o daughter to come to see the speech. If you would have told me 15 months ago when I took this job that I'd be working on this now, I never would have believed you. I worked at home for 13 years, so this is all really huge switch for me.
Anyone have success in using a website to project a more professional image?
