You can get a very very good Celeron on Pricewatch for about 300, including 256 RAM. I would not fool with Dell at all. My ex called about the computer on their website that is 299 after the 50 rebate and the guy told him this was only a word processor and to be able to get online he would have to have the 699 one. He had the specs right in front of him showing it included 6 months of AOL, the 56k modem, and the 10/100, still the guy lied right to his face. That's just bad business.

I bought my tower for only 250. It came with Vista, so I deleted that partition and put XP on. I then went and downloaded all the drivers and it's been smooth sailing.
