Honestly, all I want to do is eat leftovers and veg out tonight.
However, we had contractors here working on our house all weekend. They're good friends and did us a favor, so we're feeding them all after they finish up tonight.
Take an hour nap and get it done tonight so you can play tomorrow.

So what's for dinner tonight? I need suggestions.
I have melons cut up and an Italian pasta salad. What to go with it?
Well! Tonight is the night I start 3rd shift. Any suggestions on how
how to handle sleep deprivation.
Lucky thing for me my MD is in the office tomorrow morning, so I made an appointment for tomorrow.
If it is strep, I'll have her give me a shot of penicillin. That's what I usually do for strep. My stomach can't hardly handle taking antibiotics. I end up with vomiting and diarrhea which makes me feel even worse!
Thing is, I work for a hospital and we already have one girl off indefinitely for medical reasons. A couple of ladies didn't log on until late today because we had thunderstorms in the area. And we are way, WAY out of TAT for OPs and Discharges. So, I feel kind of bad taking a sick day. My supervisor is so stressed. She's been begging us to work OT for the last couple of weeks. How can I call her and tell her I'm sick?
I'm halfway through my shift anyway. I'll be all right. The Motrin is really helping and then I can take it easy all weekend.
Thanks for listening.
Done with Tgiving leftovers
We're having salmon, rice, and broccoli.
I agree.....leftovers are usually better.....sm
the 2nd day...think pasta sauces and the ilk.....*g*
That poster wouldn't last one minute working in restaurants, where recycling of food and NOT being wasteful is an ongoing thing, much like my own house. *S* (I worked restaurants for 5 years back in the 1970s *S* and hubby is a french chef DE cuisine)
Ha! We did pizza last night..so, it's leftovers.

They offshore so you get the cherry picked leftovers.
Sound quality is lousy. Totally rigid on their schedule. They have the attitude that you should be grateful to work for them.
Leftovers always - plan it this way during the week - today it's leftover spaghetti

There's nothing to pot roast
You put the roast in the crock pot in the morning and forget about it. At about 4:00 put the potatoes and carrots in with the meat and it's done about 1 1/2 hours later. That's it. Easy as pie. I work and have kids also. But it can be done if you pick the right stuff.
Pig roast
Here, out in the boonies in PA, we call the local pig farmer who comes out the night before with the roaster, the pig and all the other stuff. He sets it all up for you. All you have to do is turn it now and then. Costs about $200.00. Maybe the organizer of the last pig roast could supply you with how they did it. We just add baked potatoes, corn on the cob, get every one to either bring a side dish or dessert, tap the keg, turn up the music and Partaaayyy....
Pot roast
Hi there,
Here is my pot roast recipe for crock pot. I dust it with flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper, brown it in a skillet, then place it in the crockpot with potatoes, carrots, celery, more garlic and pepper and let it cook for 6 to 8 hours on low. It is so delicious!!
Hey, besides transcribing I am also a travel agent. It is fabulous all the perks we get, check out my site at www.manzotravel.com and if you are interested go to www.teamresult.com and watch the short video. Now we get commission on our travel and vacation instead of Orbitz or Expedia!!!
roast beef
I have found the less water you use in the crock pot the better off the roast will be. It makes moisture of its own. I usually just add about 1/4 cup of robust red wine, some seasonings and let it go.
I also roast them with a bit of a twist
Get some Ranch dressing mix, sprinkle a little bit of the dry mix in with the olive oil...most anyone likes ranch anymore and it really adds a kick to them.
Good luck!
Roast with potatoes and carrots,
Love my crock pot!
I've been to several pig roast, very good! - sm
As for how to do it, that is if you go the pig route, make sure it is a pig roaster (huge) and have some one who knows what they are doing cook it. It takes quite a long time to cook 12+ hours or more, cannot remember if they started it the night before or not (our old neighborhood had one every year). Or if you don't want the trouble just say you are having a big cookout, go with corn on the cob, hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni salad, potato salad, etc. Obvious have everyone bring a dish if possible. If you know any with Sirius or the other satelite radio you can get some great music. We did both records/CDs and a live band at our pig roast and the annual crab feast. Yum! Had a lot of fun when we lived there.
On the menu...pork roast w/
mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. The pork roast is in the crock pot slow roasting all day while I work my fingers to the bone!! It will be served with homemade mashers with brown gravey and mixed veggies.uuuummmmm!! Can't wait til dinner. ;)
Starbucks Italian Roast for me, although
I am trying to wean myself off that and onto Pierce Brothers Free Trade Coffee. The Red Eye is a hearty blend, so I may be able to do it--if I take it slowly. I'm hooked...
Roast, potatoes, and carrots in the crock pot...yum!

Pork Roast "partial" recipe because I
usually never measure anything, just eyeball the ingredients, but here goes.
It all goes by taste...like it spicy? add more hot pepper. Like it sweeter? Add a bit more brown sugar.
I marinate my pork roast and/or ribs in apple juice and a little bit of apple cider vinegar (not much...you want to taste the apple, not vinegar), for 24 hours. The vinegar helps tenderize
Then I mix a combination of dark brown sugar, white sugar, a little crushed or ground red pepper or smoked cayenne pepper (regular is okay if you don't have the smoked), a little cinnamon (not much of this either or it will overpower the other seasonings), garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, a little cumin and nutmeg powder (for smokiness) . I mix all this together and rub it into the roast. I use my stovetop smoker or rotisserie to cook the roast.
For the cinnamon is about a tsp, or what fits in the palm of your hand when you curve your hand (not piled high either), The cumin and nutmeg is really a large "pinch."
Maybe some day I will figure out the true measurements, but I've been doing this for years and just know by looking how much of each ingredient is necessary. After a few times, you'll be able to tell how much of each ingredient to use for your taste.
Pork Roast Grill Recipe
I usually make pork chops on the girll, but I have a pork roast that I want to make on the grill and I was wondering if anyone had any recipes. I usually marinate it but was looking to see if someone had another type of recipe using just spices and/or herbs or just something new and different I could do or have with it. TIA.
roast in mini bites (finger food)
going to cut up one of the bison roasts into bite sized pieces, shake in a bit of flour, and pan-fry nice and slow. It makes such yummy bites! probably have a home-grown salad too...i made some tater soup with left-over brocolli and gr beans for lunch -- we are blessed with too much good food. i need to use some squash too :)
I'm having a homemade roast beef sub and chips for lunch.
DH can probably BBQ hot dogs and burgers for dinner because I don't feel like cooking.
Dinner help! I have a beef round rump roast.. help!
any interesting ideas?
Pulled Pork Roast Sandwiches with Cabbage/Slaw
I would just take that baby and rub her down with some oil, vegetable, corn, olive, etc. and rub her down with some good seasons, like a little chili powder, garlic, salt, pepper and wrap her up good and tight in some aluminum foil. Git some good hickory wood chips and once the grill starts to cool off from the hottest point, then put that baby out there and let her slow cook for about 6 hours or so. Keep it wrapped up tight so the juices do not escape and if they do, get some worchestershire, oil etc. and baste her up. When a fork separates with the meat to just strands, she is ready for some bread and some slaw/cabbage with a lil vinegar added to the slaw and a lil bbq or A1 steak sauce with a lil mustard added together is better to me and there you go, a good ole southern pulled pork roast samwich!
Roast with potatoes and carrots in the crock pot-good warmed over later.

Went to pig roast. Chefs had no idea how to cook pig. Ended up smelling and tasting like garbage.

Having one put on tomorrow...
after many years of thinking about it and finally finding the right picture. I know it's going to be uncomfortable, but I'm ready to get it done.
Looks like tomorrow is going to be
a good one too!
And tomorrow is 6/7/6, so what. nm

We can also die tomorrow...
I buy what I want when I want. Credit card bills can't take your house. Your credit score goes down and they hound you to death, but that's nothing. I say live it up! No, we didn't purchase the larger home because I didn't want to have to clean it! We do have 2 brand new vehicles though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lovin' it!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what I work for everyday, not so I have to do without. I do "with!!!!!" I live and love and spend every day doing what I want to do and when I want to do it..... Well, I guess I gave away the fact that I'm an IC with no restrictions or limitations. Hubs works and makes decent money, but even if I didn't have his income, we'd be just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow is registration. First day Aug. 5 E.TN
I'm ready
Tomorrow will be brighter! nm

job interview tomorrow ... what do you think?
Hi all ... I'm going to a local hospital tomorrow for an interview. The job is in the laboratory. It's a f/t position where half the day you do pathology transcription and the other half secretarial work. It's mon-fri, 9-5.
This is in New York (the suburbs) actually, about 1/2 hour north of NYC. I have 13 years of medical records transcription experience, and prior to that for 5+ years worked as a secretary to a medical director.
How much of a salary should I expect ? Thanks!
JoJo
Anyone going out of town tomorrow?
I'm going to Cincinnati 2C my sisters! Yikes! Wish me luck...
Tomorrow is NEW YEAR'S EVE!
RU going 2 party like its 1999? Get totally plastered, watch balls drop, etc?
Thanks for your replies. I go to the doc tomorrow.
Find out more tomorrow.
I was told "full benefits" except dental (which my husband has), but I will get full details tomorrow during my interview. I haven't worked outside the home in so long; I think I am afraid to go back out there. Seems like a good offer from a large cardiology practice. I was told "starting at $15.00" so may have opportunity for increase there which I have never had at home.
How about tomorrow night???
e-mail me or post and let me know what time is good for everyone! I am in.
I could give up cable tomorrow sm
I seriously only keep it for DH. The kids are fine without much TV and so am I. The only time I watch anything is when I ride my bike on the trainer or walk on the treadmill.
My favorite show of all time was Emergency! but I have most episodes on tape to watch that.
No biggy, will come up with a good one for tomorrow!!!
Thanks for having a sense of humor. Have a good night!!
Short note..more tomorrow
Hi, I am just wondering if the psychologist had any clue as to whether or not the child is ADHD, but I would bet this child has MULTIPLE diagnoses. My daughter, now 17 years, is ADHD, and I feel your pain. My daughter is a "poster girl for ADHD" according to the school counselor, and I must agree!! Even at that, she does not have as many problems as this little girl you describe. I am so sorry I don't have more time ... I HAVE TO GET MORE LINES IN ...AUGGGGGG!!!! I will try to post tomorrow. Anyway, there are some that will try to tell you no little girl could cause that much trouble. Not true!! Been there. Hang in there.
Stamps go up tomorrow to 39cents. nm

Hey, MQA! Can't talk until tomorrow...under the whip...
of *you know who* right now. (Working on time clock.) But tomorrow will post up at top of this forum. Yes, that PT office I mentioned DOES use paper and sticky notes! More tomorrow....hi ho, hi ho, its back to work I go !
I'm calling Terminix tomorrow....
I found another one last night, making that 4 in less than a week. Yuck! Funny thing is, the one I found last night was really slow and sickly. My BF thinks it's because the bathroom was cool because the air was on, so I told him let's freeze them out! lol Anyway, I'm calling for pest control. I can't take em.
I am also having a mammo and ultrasound tomorrow...
I posted last week about pain and a spontaneous bloody nipple discharge on one occasion. I had a mammo a couple of years ago for the same pain but no spontaneous discharge. No palpable lumps either time, but I am with you about the pins and needles thing! The radiologist read my films before I left the last time as well, so when I left I felt like I was walking on air!
Good luck tomorrow and keep us posted. I will say a prayer for you tonight!
I have peer interview tomorrow.
I am interview for an in-house position. I had the interview and a week later I was called for the peer review. Never been on a peer interview and don't know what to expect...any ideas? I plan to just be myself just like in the interview.
Tough line requirements (1500 line/day) but I'm optimistic. I hope to gain tips with short cuts to qualify for incentive programs, etc. if I am chosen for the job.
I don't know what you are talking about. Try again tomorrow when you might make sense.
"edit my reports with eyes closed"? what has that got to do with anything?
sounds yummy...gonna try it tomorrow!
I can't wait to post another list tomorrow so we can !!!
all have fun again. Good night!
