I'll send out letters
I write letters all the time to different government bodies, politicians, school districts, you name it and I'll write. I think this is a wonderful idea. My letters and/or phone calls always get public attention in my area - I have even put in for a presidential pardon for a relative who is in the federal prison system. I've exposed a principal who was abusing special ed kids, problems with taxation in Texas, and many other issues. My motto is - if things aren't being done properly, you can always write a letter. My pen is poised over pad and paper......
They'll send an email out when they need extra work done.
The bonuses are tied to taking on extra work on top of your regular workload, not production or longevity. It's per extra shift or per extra report on backlogged accounts. Call and talk to them if you have any questions.

Low work volume so shuffled from account to account with different specs in a short period of time. I used to complain about one former job putting me on three accounts in less than three weeks. Try three accounts in one week. Time-consuming setup of patient demographic information. Zero QA feedback, nothing, nada, zilcho. I don't know if I'm doing anything right or not. Ranting emails sent to everyone about "we're going to lose the account" unless you do this or that.

I think it would be appropriate to request this account.
If you are already familiar with the account you will be more productive and that is to the advantage of the company. I recently applied to a company that has an account that I had worked on for many years. I did not request this account, but did state that I had worked on it for many years and this was the account they had planned to put me on. I ended up not taking the position because the company offshores.

We are in something similar right now. The IRS kept our refund this year and after some checking around we found out that we still owed $2500 in principal plus interest and penalties from a business my husband had 9 YEARS AGO. We have gotten refunds every years since then. It's insane. I sent them a check for about half of it, which covered the principal and sent a letter requesting an abatement (cancellation) from interest in penalties, detailing why this was justified. Probably won't work but worth a try. They cashed the check super fast but still waiting to hear on the rest.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
Please pray for our little dog, Fluffy, who is in the hospital right now and on oxygen. We just came from there and he is having a lot of difficulty breathing. He has swelling on his spinal cord and they are unable to do additional testing to find out why because of this complication. Please everyone say a prayer for him that his breathing stabilizes and they can find out what the problem is.

I did email someone else who also works for them but no response from that yet either. My point is exactly as you said, being a week late, i am in deep trouble and it has costed me a lot as i go from check to check so like me and my kiddos are starving waiting on this check, lol. on the other hand, i make good money with this acct and don't want to tick them off as i love this acct but i am in a bind needing my money.

Strange request from MTSO
I applied with a company that advertises on this site. One of their requests was that they wanted a picture of my home office and one of myself - a full body shot - I thought that a little strange. I didn't know whether to contact the IRS or what as far as the home office went - but then, of course, the MTSO which was hiring only ICs required working specific hours, so that blew that deal - since I do know that the IRS can and will disallow your home office deductions if you are an IC and are required to work specific days or hours - as you are then deemed an employee under their rules. But the picture thing, that just seems weird.
MANY reasons to request a read receipt -
One of them is that someone claims to not receive your e-mail when everyone else in the world does. I finally figured out the person I was e-mailing was playing games. SO, not everything has to do with being a control freak.

The doctor, wife and you and let him know this needs to happen before they leave as you are in a crunch. It sounds like he respects you. If you can get that arranged come right out and explain that the work is already done and needs paid for since you were given no advance warning. Look her square in the eye and ask questions. Ask for partial payment....keep the line open. If it becomes obvious that she wants you gone then bring that up in his presence for verification and so he knows it was not you who jumped ship. Just my 2 cents.........

again asking to see a copy of the report so you can see where it was QA'd so you can make a notation of it so it will not happen again. If they don't respond, I'd forget about it, unless it happened again.

URGENT REQUEST: An MT that we sent a box of gifts to did not receive the package.
It was delivered to their porch according to UPS but she did not get it. It contained gifts for her children. Because we did not put insurance on the package, UPS will do nothing to assist. The box alone to ship had cost $45.00 and insurance would have cost another $25.00. It is a sad story, but what it boils down to is that the kids won't have a Christmas. All monies in the Santa's House for Christmas Angels fund have been dispersed through the Christmas Angel program.
So, I am here to ask for help. I would like to raise $150 to $200 today if at all possible and for anyone who donates $10.00 or more to this special cause, I will give a software package that contains a word Expander and spellchecker that is worth over $100.00 for your trouble. I've read some of the responses to the chat room. I suggested 7:00 EST, some one else suggested 8:00 for those on the west coast. Tonight was mentioned as a good time for at least one.
My suggestion would be to pick a time, say 8:00 on the west coast, every night. Those that can make it will be there and those that cannot make it on any given night would be assured some one would be there the next night they tried. Once enough discovered the place and how much fun it can be, possibly there would be enough interest to have 1 or 2 almost every night.
For those who arn't sure what I'm talking about - at the top of the page, right side is a link "chat room." Click on that and you should be good to go.
This is just a suggestion. If not interested, ignore. Otherwise, hope to see some folks this evening 8:00 west coast time. (Unless some one has a better time that would work for most).
