That is true! lol At least he is determined to help. I have just recently signed up for classes at my local college. I'm taking the prereqs for their radiologic technology degree. My daughter is older now and I'm ready to work out of the house. I have loved this job and it has served its purpose of letting me work at home but I'm ready to go on to something new. Of course, I will probably keep this as well for a while since I have a very flexible schedule and love the company I work for, but I'm definitely looking to get out of the house! :)

PCDI
I would not recommend this program to anyone. I took it and it was fine for me but I had several years of healthcare experience prior to taking it. I would recommend Andrews or M-Tech. The PCDI program is a basic program and definitely needs to be more thorough. I felt I learned more in my college medical terminology course than the PCDI program.

I would say yes since you've been a Transcriptionist for so long but you also have to look at how competitive the field is right now and find out what companies will accept an MT with an education from PCDI. Had I not been a CNA for 7 years and had the medical terminology and 1 semester of nursing school, I probably would not have gotten my first MT job. With you being an MT, that will help immensely but I just wonder if there are companies that will accept an MT from PCDI. Do you work from home? Maybe the company that you work for would hire him after the PCDI training because you would be there to help when needed.

I don't see where it would be a problem if he was going to work with the same company you work for. Honestly, I would talk to your supervisor and relate everything to him/her. With you being at home, you will be a major help to him. My boyfriend thought about doing it a while back, but he couldn't take the crappy dictators. lol Good luck!
PCDI training program?
We are also looking at this training program, I know a lady who went through this one and she said it was a good one but any other pros and cons you have would be appreciated. TIA
