Over the door lock boxes

I pick up work from a local family practice and our schedules conflict a lot of times. It is hard to be there exactly when the doctor finishes his dictation and they forget to give me a 30-minute warning since I am about 30 minutes away. Sometimes I have to make a trip every day to fit his schedule. Does anyone know where I can buy an over the door lock box (like what Lab Corp uses to leave blood work, etc.)? I would love for him to leave the transcription tapes, etc., in the box and I pick up and drop off on my schedule so I can get to the work faster and also pick up after office hours. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hear such mixed thoughts regarding getting accounts by going door-to-door soliciting yourself.
Is it worth it. Are there many people out there that have landed new accounts this way? Most MTSOs that have been in business for a long time say it is by word of mouth, but what about MTs like me who have been doing this five years. I feel I'm ready for my own accounts and am not sure if this is the best route.
Any opinions?
they all have their own boxes plus
she is in another part of the house with her own food and water separate from the others to make sure everyone gets enough of everything. she spends the majority of the day outside, comes in for a snack and straight back to the door to go out again. over night she has her own bedroom so that there isn't any trouble over night.
Hi PP - there are still 2 boxes left....sm
wanna come visit and have some truffles? *lolol* Congrats to your DAUGHTER!!!! Smart cookie she is!!
My daughter has a beau for 6 years now and they are engaged and very serious. It's MOM (me) who questions *if it isn't broken, don't fix it* - *LOL* - but I'm 200 percent behind them and am very supportive.....I just FEAR marriage (after one very_long bad experience) and yet I try not to put that on her. *grin*
Well you and I are about 15 miles apart....just a hop, skip, and a jump for you, eh? *HAHAHAHAHA*
Be well, sugar!!!
The three boxes are supposed to
look like that. That is normal. You do not have to X and close them. What are you trying to change on your monitor?
big kitties and litter boxes
I have three cats and one of them is a very big (long) Himalayan who always manages somehow to go on the edge of his litter box or hit the floor, so I have put a scatter rug under his litter box and I purchased a longer litter box. I tried the ones with the tops and he could not fit in it, so I just make sure he hits the box and if not clean the rug of the litter or debris on it. I don't let any of my three cats out because our vet told me it is not a good idea here with coyotes and rabies, so they are all in the house. I also always make sure the litter box is clean for all of them to use. I found with multiple cats that Cat's Pride scoopable is the best. My vets recommends shreaded paper if you have one or two cats. I tried that with three but what a mess that was, and out of all the litter out there on the market, the Cat's Pride Scoopable is the best for my cats.
At my apartment complex, our post boxes are
in a large mail kiosk and I can sort my mail right there, open everything and throw away all trash before ever getting back in my car or walking back to my apartment. Anything unnecessary never makes it to (1) my purse (used to be a bad habit of mine), (2) my car (used to be another bad habit of mine), or (3) my apartment. It really is amazing how much paper is wasted on advertisements that I'm not even interested in, envelopes, etc.
It can be very stressful to have all that stuff staring at you on the desk, demanding more of your time.
Some boxes, like Mrs. Smith's pies, say distributed by
Schwann company in So. Carolina, but they are all made in Mexico (my cousin is long distance truck driver, sees them transferring the boxes from 1 truck to another.) Fig Newtons made in Mexico. Big problem with the border guards from US because their uniforms and ID badges made in Mexico and many of them are stolen or sold in Mexico which allows access of illegals into US. Nothing is made in US anymore.
In Word I can't see my field boxes anymore that I use F11 to skip around to. Does anyone know ho
x
Might be meaning the 3 boxes left upper corner??
the 3 little square boxed in the right hand corner, see them. The middle one makes a bigger screen. Unclick it and it goes back to regular size. This this what you meant.
I use Word 2003 and I have text boxes I jump to using the F11 key. I have no idea what I did, but
using the F11 key, but I want to see the boxes where I enter the text.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
TIA
Check your boxes and stuff for some sort of customer service...
I think you got a bad one. Return.

is your caps lock on?
If so, it won't let you do anything in your expander.
Or try doing a copy and paste into your expander.
I agree with most of this, but in most states you can't lock him out. sm
I agree you should get away from him, especially if there are kids involved, but in most states you're not allowed to lock him out of the house. It's his residence, too, and the police and judges will tell you that he has just as much right to be there as you do. Please be sure to check with a lawyer or with the local police before trying to lock him out of the house.
make sure your caps lock is not on...but..

Which model? Not all have lock keys. sm
I have a Logitech cordless that doesn't have lock keys. Did you try to Google your model to see if somebody else has had the same problem?
sounds like you need a child-proof lock
Cap lock and unlock is driving me crazy
I wonder why the light above caps locked is so small. With the constant need for capitalizing words in this industry, I am constantly backspacing to delete words mistakely capitalized or not capitalized, especially with IT. Does anyone have a cure for this?
No need to lock the cats up. They'll figure it out.
If someone is shooting them with BB's when they wander into someone else's yard, it won't take them too long to figure out to stay away from there. Cats aren't stupid.
I told my neighbors when I moved into my new neighborhood with my 2 long time outdoor cats, "If they bother you, just soak them with the hose and they won't come back." It worked. They sleep in some neighbors yards or gardens, but never venture near the houses they got wet at and we've been here almost 7 years.
I'd give my cats away before I would lock them in the house. Once an outdoor cat, always an outdoor cat.
Otherwise, you just have a miserable indoor cat.
you're welcome; glad F-lock key worked for you

You need to press shift key and caps lock. You may
need to do it a couple of times. I transcribed for many years and never had a problem, but the last couple of years I have this happen about once a month. It isn't a malfunction of the keyboard - it is user error :).
Thanks for replies but does Spellex make Word lock up?
I'm having trouble with the trial version crashing the program.
When I use my CAPS LOCK only the first letter of my abbreviation is capitalized..sm
and not any other. The only way I can get my entire abbreviation to be in capitals is by holding down my Shift key. I thought maybe I have something set up incorrectly in Preferences, etc. but can find nothing that would be of help. Do you have any other suggestions?
You can manually type the codes for caps lock on and off
Just type the symbols on the keyboard with the B and it will go in fine. Don't know why your keyboard is beeping, but hope it won't when you manually put the codes in. Hope this helps! :)
My daughter's elementary school was on lock down yesterday afternoon cause some freak in a red S
truck drove onto school property behind the school (where the playground is) and tried to get some kids on recess to get into his truck! Thankfully the teachers on recess duty were paying attention and gathered all the kids back into the building and the school went on lock down. The police showed up within minutes, but the guy took off before they got there. So now they are looking for him. The news was parked in front of my house most of the morning this morning. I live directly across the street from the school.
It's just scary out there. My daughter who is in kindergarten was matter of fact about the whole thing. All she said when she gave me the note from the principal telling parents what happen was "It was for real mom. We thought it was a drill, but it was for real." Then I thought what a sad state this world is in when our schools have lock down drills now in addition to fire and tornado drills.
I live in a small town too and had a false sense of security until the Amish news and until yesterday. It seems like you simply aren't safe anywhere anymore.
how do you even get through the door with --sm
that big head of yours?! keep up your attitude and one of these days someone is going to adjust it for you. then we will be LOL

I do woodburning as a hobby and when I bought my woodburning tool, it came with a *hot knife* attachment, which is a small blade that screws into the woodburning tool and heats up. It cut through this fairly thick plastic quite well. It took about a half an hour, which was less than having tried to cut it with a utility scissors or knife. worked for me! :^)
What's behind door #3?
I'm in it because I have an interest in the medical field, but I'm too squeamish to do the hands-on stuff! :-P I won't get rich doing MT, but so far it's paying the bills.
AT&T is going door to door here trying to get
for cable, internet and phone. They knocked on my door and told me how much less it would be per month if I went with them. No way. I don't trust AT&T back from the days when they were a monopoloy and I had no choice but to use them for my long distance. I swore if I ever had a choice I would NEVER use them again. Time Warner may be more expensive than AT&T, but I'd rather pay more for Time Warner than give AT&T any of my business. And I don't trust them not to jack up the prices. I've been a happy Time Warner customer for many years now and unless they jack their prices up drastically, I'm staying with them. My internet is NEVER out more than just a brief period, and that rarely happens. The phone service is cheaper than AT&T and the cable is fine (DH uses the TV part more than I do).
And one more I told the LDS at my door (sm)
I do have a question! At the end of the earth when God meets us in the sky, how do you think we will get there, in spaceships?
(They haven't been to my door in a long, long time.)
Best Buy does it too- was 2 feet from the door, guy saw me pay, still had - sm
to show my receipt, which I had already put away in my wallet. Pain in the butt!
THE SIGN ON MY DOOR
WE ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER THE DOOR TO UNSCHEDULED CALLERS. PLEASE PHONE AHEAD. No soliciting. No trespassing.
I may peep out the window to see who is out there, but they cannot see me and I will not answer it. Later on you can always tell them you were in the shower, bathroom, phone conference, etc. and did not hear the door or could not leave your meeting.
Ask yourself -- would people let you walk into their office building and interrupt them on their job if they were at their desk on the phone with the boss or a client? NOT.
Just curious - how did you cut the door out? nm
x
the USPS supplies boxes and supplies free of charge..but you have to "order" it sm
by phone. I'll see if I can find it. What is sent to soldiers is what is allowed by military protocol..beef jerky would not be allowed in a country that considers beef sacred. They (military) strongly enforce being considerate of the countrys culture. within those guidelines, send anything..if the recipient does not want it..it goes on a public area and free for all to share..they love doing it too.
Could one more person slam a door?
Could one more person talk in the hall right outside my office?
Could you turn your music up a little higher?
Could you come in and interrupt me one more time?
Doggie, could you whine a little louder? (has to stay in my office -- long story).
Could ONE more doctor dictate from a speaker phone?
Sheesh... now I know why I work the red eye!!
Anything that "The Girls Next Door" say
Sure, go for 12 cpl IF you want to get laughed out the office door!

My next door neighbor cleans ....sm
every other week and charges $70 to do my entire 1800 foot house. She does a great job, too - and is trustworthy. Before that I wouldn't trust anyone because of the stories of services/people not cleaning or stealing from you.
Sometimes I need a *Do Not Disturb* on my office door
I can't break myself from being always available to my kids, and I guess I shouldn't complain because they're 25 and 18 and both still love to stop in my office door and stand there and talk anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour in the afternoon, but it really makes me so unproductive in the afternoon. This is especially rough when I know I'm behind and need to be pounding the keys, but HEY, I know the day is coming when they don't stand here and talk to me, so I try my hardest to listen when they want to talk. It's really tough though. Anyone else have trouble with this? When the talk dwindles I do tell them I need to get back to work and they're generally good about letting me, but I can't stop them when they feel the need to be here talking to me. Guess I wish I had 2 sets of ears so I could work while I listen to them too.
Gevalia - its the best and delivered to my door
monthly by the UPS guy! Amaretto is the best and regular is #2. Great coffee and prices are better than buying premium in the supermarket. Keeps me going...
It can be hard to get a foot in the door
but when I was starting out even though I didn't have the experience I would ask them to at least let me test for them, and once I did I was almost always hired. I have never worked as an IC, though- I have only worked in clinics and now 2 hospitals.
The hospital I work at now has a mentoring program where they will hire students just out of school and let them learn on the job, starting out as MT I's. Of course, they have to demonstrate some ability, but that is the way it should be. It seems to me if you are good you should be able to find work, especially with the all the complaints these days that there are not enough good MTs out there.

Gotta shut the door and zone out and get it done
Been there, still go there sometimes. It took me a long time to just focus on the work, because at first I thought, "This is so coooool! I don't have to actually go to work. I think I'll go make brownies and come back to it later." WRONG!
Had to make myself a schedule, as the kids were getting packaged brownies and the dishes were never done. It's tough at the beginning to and when I started a year ago nobody was home. Then school got out and I realized I had forgotten to factor in the summer part, which was a nightmare! "Mama! You're not WORKING, ARE YOU?" Ended up starting at 4:00 a.m. and then working again after everyone was settled in bed.
Now I'm back on schedule. Good luck.
