x
Look at this recipe I found - yummy!
Ingredients
4 pounds (or larger) bluefish, dressed
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 lemons
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
Paprika
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
Wash and dry fish. Salt and pepper inside and out. Coat with mayonnaise inside and out. Place fish on heavy aluminum foil in baking pan. Arrange lemon slices on top, sprinkle the onion and parsley around. Dust with paprika.
Turn oven down to 400F. Bake fish 10 minutes per pound.
TIP : Don't ever worry about coating fish with lots of mayonnaise -- you won't taste it. It keeps your fillets moist and delicious
that sounds different, but yummy...

Oooh I LOVE St. B's. No room though.
Had one in the neighborhood as a kid that liked to "play baseball" with us. This was pre-leash laws. Darn thing would catch the ball every single time we hit it and we'd have to draw straws for the duty of sticking our hand in the St. B's mouth to retrieve what was left of the slimy ball. What a great dog he was though.
oooh Diddles - come to Miami! That would..
Oooh, thanks for the heads up- I can't wait to see it! nm

Oooh, I just LOVE what's for dinner posts. sm
Funny thing is, I just put chili together for tomorrow. Dumped it in the crock pot. put the crock in the fridge and will do a slow cook thing tomorrow. Yummy. Must be cold and rainy where you live too. All I could thing of was chili, baked beans or a big pot of hot soup. :)
Tonight we had baked pork chops and oven baked red potato chunks. Very, very yummy and very, very easy. Here's what you do:
Dice up potatoes (with skins on) and layer them in a 13 x 9 baking dish. Add 1/3 cup cooking oil and 1 package of Lipton (or store brand) dry onion soup mix and stir it up. Then mix the other package of onion soup mix with bread crumbs, rinse off the pork chops, and roll them in the mix and throw them in a baking dish as well. Put both in the oven at 350 degrees. Potatoes usually take 35 minutes. Pork chops depend on the thickness. WICKED GOOD!
Oooh, cajun turkey. My favorite!

I loved those 3% raises every year. Oooh, a whole 'nother quarter per hour.
Cost of living went up faster than wages. Then they'd wonder why turnover was so high as everyone left for greener pastures.

yummy cabbage
Well, turns out it was just my mom's (sorry mom) cabbage I hated. She used to sorta steam it and it would still be kinda hard and chunky. I used to sit at the table long after everybody else left the table just trying to get it down. Seriously, I used to gag trying to eat it. Well, my MIL (now ex) used to fix cabbage differently and I tried it and love it! Now I fix mine the way she did. I add bacon grease to boiling water and then add cabbage along with salt/pepper. Boil about 20 minutes. Then I might need to chop it up a little smaller. Yummy! Some people like to cook with ham hock for the seasoning too. There are some people around here who mix collards and cabbage together. Collards are too much work though and I like cabbage better anyway. Give it a try!
Yummy! I'll be right over! :-)

Yummy grilled veggies
Take green peppers, red peppers, onion, squash, zucchini, asparagus, tomatos and slice them in thick, big slices. Marinade in sun dried tomato and basil salad dressing for a few hours with some garlic and salt and pepper. Then put straight on the grill and cook them. Very good.
Have you had this before? Care to explain how yummy it is?

Recipe
1 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp olive oil
Mix it in a small bowel to make a paste (I added a lil more olive oil) then coat top of 3 lbs worth chicken.
Slice onions and 2 med garlic toss in bottom of crockpot.
Put chicken in
Add 1 can chicken broth.
I did high 6-1/2 hours and it fell of the bone.
I used a slatted spoon and took out the onions and garlic then made gravy with the broth.

Go to the Food Network website and in the search box, type "cheese straws". You'll have a choice of many different recipes, but I think the one your mom is looking for using a cookie press is the recipe for "Zesty Cheese Straws" by Paula Deen.
Thanks for the recipe
I am going to try it, it sounds wonderful.
