onesuite.com was recommended to me. Have not checked into yet but 2.5 cents sounds good.

I have used OneSuite for (sm)
personal use, so I'm not sure about disconnections while working.  You just create an account through their website and you can recharge your minutes with a credit or debit card (maybe Paypal, too).  They have a zipdial system, which basically means that you can input the number you will be calling from and then you don't have to enter your PIN number each time you call.  You can also see your call history by logging onto your account via their website, which is a really nice feature.  My experience with their customer service has been good, too.  HTH
I am using onesuite- sm
I have also just switched to a new job with a c-phone and have decided to use onesuite.  They are 2.5 cents a minute and you prepay your minutes, like a calling card.  I have heard of a few people using this so I am going to give it a try.  It seems to work great for them.  No limits, no hidden fees, etc.
I used to use onesuite before...
I got cable with my C-phone, and it says it's 2.5 cents for prepaid minutes. You get your own account and can check how many minutes you have left. Go to www.onesuite.com.
Onesuite
I used to use Onesuite and still do if I go out of town. You use it like a phone card, and I think it ranges from 2 to 3 cents per minute. Just go to onesuite.com.

I have been using Vonage for the last four years though. As long as you have a really good internet connection, you shouldn't have problems with Vonage IMO. I have moved about four times (husband was in the miliitary), and each time I have made sure I got the best internet, and have had no problems whatsoever. Good luck.
Buy local. The local stores pay taxes to support your city and state. (SM)
Using online and catalogues does nothing to promote the local economy.  We complain about outsourcing and about the big companies gobbling up all the work so the jobs at local hospitals are gone, yet we do the same thing when we buy on ebay, catalog, and these web sites that may be located any place in the world as their primary business location.
never had a problem with OneSuite
It's AT&T Call11Vantage that keeps dropping carrier. But, for $35/month, I tolerate it.
No, onesuite is $1.50 an hour, not $1.80.

Onesuite is an option with MDI? - sm
I used it when I started working for them, but didn't know I would continue using it?
Onesuite.com cheap, not
unlimited but very cheap, under 3 cents a minute.  Lots bells and whistles.  It's for regular phone not internet.
OneSuite questions...
Is it an LD program that works with your regular phone?  You just buy increments of LD?  I don't have LD on my phone, only Verizon and if I do make a call it is 5 cents a minute.  OneSuite seems like a nice program, just wondering if anyone here uses it.  TIA!!
Onesuite in hotel
That is exactly what I'm doing when I travel. I use my Onesuite account and dial an 800 number from my room and save on ridiculous charges from hotels.

Now you can also use its voip feature if your hotel has a good internet connection and you have your laptop with you. Saves you the trouble of dialing the 800 number or worry about getting charge for that 800 call.
Onesuite pay as you go service
Onesuite has always been a pay as you go service. No plans, no tie ups or anything so anytime you want to stop using Onesuite you don't need to do anything. But so far, I'm liking it so I will keep using it until someone better comes along.
I finally used OneSuite through net at .02 or att card at 04/min nm

I went local. Great local tech support, they know what I do and were able to set it up just for me
:)
NO, you're off. 0.03 x 60 = 1.80 that's without a direct onesuite connect sm

I used them for years. I didn't pay any attention to their rate, above -- but it doesn't matter how fast you type. You could sit there and NOT type, and you're still paying $1.80 for every hour you're hooked up.

And by the way, there are several dictators I'm 1:1 on. Not many though!

I found OneSuite would not stay connected to hos. system... went with ATT

12 cents. I'd love to make 12 cents. sm
a line as an employee.  17 years acute care experiencing doing all work types and I only make 9 cpl plus incentives.
8 cents versus 9 cents
Wait a minute....9/55 is to 8/65....would not 9/55 be significantly higher pay than 8/64 (spaces are not counted in either case)?
8 cents a line. Should be 10 cents for over 10 yrs exp but

Of course you can access them

What do you mean you have no program to access them?

Why can't you just do a file search?

1.80 for me ... have to use their access. nm

Access sm
I had a terrible time and kept restoring my computer to an older date late Sat., early Sun.. I think it just showed me how valuable this site is to me. I would hate anything to happen to it. Glad to see it back!!
I can access it.
If you still have trouble after scanning for malware, you might want to try polycola.com and see if you can access Google through there.
access disconnect
They disconnect the phone line and you see on your computer that the connection was disconnected.  Then they only can get back in when you let them, by clicking on an icon and working with them at your end to get them into your computer.  Dont worry, it is done all the time.  You will see the disconnect on your screen.
It's very frustrating trying to access
This qualifies for the Stupid Business Decisions award.
What are you using to access their FTP site?
You don't use Internet Explorer to access FTP sites.  You can download CoreFTP Lite for free and use it to upload and download from FTP sites.  If you want to, you can email me and I'll try to walk you through it.  Win98 shouldn't make a difference with regard to FTP.  As far as docking pay, well, hmmm, that's mean of them.  Anyway, download the FTP program and email me, and I'll see if we can't get you up and running.
But, I can access all other web sites
So, would it really be my Internet Explorer causing the problem???

I use to go to this one web site where I could always log on even during them updating the site but many others could not - some could, some could not. I just have a feeling this may be the same type of thing - something with the website itself or else I would have problems with other websites, wouldn't I? I can access any other website I want but this particular one - wwww.weightwatchers.com

I thought maybe I needed to clean out my cache or whatever as they may have changed something where it keeps using something on my computer that is old/no longer valid in order to access the site but wouldn't everything I have done so far have eliminated a possible problem such as that??? I did not actually go in and delete anything in any cache so I don't know if that may need to be done yet and, if so, I have no idea where to go and/or which one(s) I need to do that with.

Thanks so much for trying to help. I sincerely appreciate it.
can't access right now, but try Kansasii or something like that
no message.
count access........nm

Same here..with ExText cannot access...
voice file unless asked for the voice file. Only QA has access. You can pull up the report just no voice file.
if you can access the internet, you can
work. Not a problem.
Wireless access?
So how do you have access to the internet along the way? Satellite?

/Would absolutely LOVE to do this as husband is schoolteacher off all summer, but I'm always working.
Wireless access. sm

In my past dial-up days, I used pay phones and calling cards to upload/download work. It is so much easier to connect to the Internet than it used to me because wireless access points are everywhere! (I am an IC and download voice file; I don't have to be connected to a system to receive work so if that is your situation, you may not find it as easy to work on the road.)

Depending on what wireless card you have, you can either use that software or Windows to find a wireless network to access the 'net. I've hit access points in campgrounds (that's our big pasttime), from parking lots at community colleges, hotels, libraries, Panera, McDonald's and even open home networks from the grocery store parking lot.

Your BIGGEST issue in all of this, however, is security. Make sure that you're using encryption to both send and receive; a VPN client is even better if your company has that set up.

You may want to buy an AC/DC power converter (about $35 at Wal-Mart) that plugs into your car's lighter. You then plug your computer's power cord into the unit for power.

Footpedals can be optional, depending on your software. I know that with ExpressScribe you can use the F keys to control playback, etc.

I have always had an access # assigned....
If you could get into a records system without a private passcode, that would be a major HIPAA situation! I always have a sign-in ID asigned by the facility for any C-phone account I have worked; but it is strange that you are hearing a beep and not an operator giving instructions. I've never had that situation before. If you don't have an account Lead you can contact to get help, I'm thinking you'd best tell your employer this isn't working! Good luck.
Do you have access to DSL or cable?

What you're thinking of doing may be more stressful to you than you think. The price for the high-speed Internet would certainly be worth it.

Help - I can't access my Email
It lets me sign in but the page says unavailable or something like that, the error page that comes up if you can't get on the Internet.  It happens on two different accounts - verizon and yahoo. and on both computers in my home.  I was chatting live with support for an hour and I accidentally closed the chat and I'm too tired to start over again.  Anybody know what happened?  Sorry if this is the wrong board for this.  Thanks in advance
No productivity access
Did you request a copy of the productivity log submitted by the hospital? That is all you have to do if your company did not submit one to you automatically. In addition, keep your own private long with accession numbers and times, anything you would need to support a discrepancy. There are a lot of programs out there that do not support that type of operation, so do not think you are being lied to. Just make sure they are right.
Has anyone ever let the company they work for access your..sm
computer for tech help? The place I am starting with has a program I need to download and use. I am having problems with the program and they didnt offer much help via emails. They just wanted me to "register" my computer so that they could access it and find the problem and fix it themselves. This sounds extremely dangerous to me. If they can access my computer to fix it, then what stops them from coming in to look around at personal info, such as on line banking info, or other personal info? Also, my husband has a lot of high security stuff from his job on his computer and since we are all hooked together, could they access that too? Sounds really odd to me. Has anyone else heard of this? Thanks.
Yes, I've let my company access my computer.
I used to do the same for one of my MT clients and for remote users as a computer technician.  You can sit there and watch everything they do.  It's not like they're hacking your computer or keylogging your data.  You can shut them down if you're uncomfortable with what they're doing, and delete their access capability when they've finished.
THank you! Many people have access at this monitor.
Thank you!!
There is internet access but they charge big $$$

We went on a cruise in April and I did not even think of work.  It would not have been financially beneficial.  I would have paid more in internet fees than I would have been making.  I would just go and enjoy yourself.

Digital Access Transcription

What can anyone tell me about Digital Access Transcription as a company?  I searched the Archives and came up with nothing.  I have not gone to the "other site" yet.  Just wondering in looking for different companies and what they have to offer pros and cons.

thanks

Fair Access policy
I have DW7000 professional and even with the extra download and upload capability they will still shut me down if I go over their limit. Also I am on SatMex and have had occasional trouble as long as I have had the system. Sometimes I just want to run over the dish and modem with my Jeep!!
C-phone access code ?? sm - HELP!
I bought a C-phone from E-bay.  When dialing a number, I get a message telling me I must use the "access code."  I am sure this is something that was put in there by the previous owner(s).  Can someone tell me how to "erase" this directive or clear the machine?

Satellite Internet Access

I am currently living in rural Iowa, and my only options for Internet access right now are dial-up (can you say S-L-O-W ?) and satellite.  I know I can get HughesNet and WildBlue.  My questions are:

1.  Are there any other providers I may have missed?

2.  Anyone have experience with HughesNet or WildBlue or any other satellite access for MT work?

I have to make a decision on this within the next week or two, so any help would be much appreciated.
