On an episode of Dr. Phil I saw just the other day, he said that children have a hard enough time living outside of a broken home, but should never have to live INSIDE of a broken home.  Wise words, in my opinion.  I, personally, think you did the right thing and as long as you are taking care of your children and have a decent roof over their heads, he really can't do much.  Like you said, if he wants to partake in your children's upbringing then he can come to see them.  Unless you moved closer to your parents or siblings then you should probably sit tight where you are since you have a home church and people there who you can talk to.  Also, there are very caring people who post here regularly, so please don't give up on this site just because of a bad apple.

It's shameful to see all these rude posts about foreigners.  This was first started as a foreign website, and Sheri turned it into the pro-U.S. even though it was still foreign owned.  I believe the dentist's side of the story about not having a credit card and needing someone to collect the money and divide it accordingly.  Sheri's rebuttal is all about attacking the dentist's character and not so much factual.  She didn't reply to allegations about owing him money or using offshore MTs to line her pockets, whereas his explanation seems more factual based and doesn't make any personal attacks.  That's why I believe him. 

People are also confused in thinking that he still owns this site. He has said it has been sold to a friend and would only return to his ownership if Sheri had paid him the $7000 he was owed to buy it back.  It has since been sold and resold, so the dentist isn't the one running this site.

Now, you can choose to stay here or jump ship because you don't want to share this place with foreigners, but let's not attack people based on them living in other countries.  We, as Americans, should have more pride in ourselves and not resort to such childish and rude comments.  If you don't want to be here, then find anothe board, but let's stop the horrible comments.  You don't see anyone on here bashing Americans.

I definitely will not be going to Sheri's new site.  If you disagree with her, she blacklists you and threatens to sue over everything.  That's how she scares and controls people.  She certainly kept a lot of secrets about not owning the site before and only revealed details after the dentist's claims surfaced.  Don't trust her AT ALL.

There are lots of other boards out there...let's move on or at least stop with the hateful posts. We're better than that.

am by no means a techie, but I've BTDT so can at least point you in the right direction.

If you do have a power outage, unless it is a catastrophic outage that might affect the cell towers, then yes an air card is the only thing that would work.

A laptop battery if new will last maybe three hours, but the more things you do on it the less it will last.  If you are surfing the net while working then it uses more power, so even in a power outage a laptop may not be a saving grace - but, you can get an inverter that you can plug into the cigarette lighter in your car and it then gives you a outlet that you can plug your laptop into or a cell phone.  You can find them at Target for about $15.  Can probably find in a computer/electronics store too.  We have a large one that has 4 plugs.  We can even plug in the crock pot and cook while we're traveling. 

I need opinions please...I work on a very small account with just a handful of ladies.  Because of the nature of the software (trying not to get too specific here) we can see who is working online and what reports they are working on in real-time...

We have one cherrypicker on the account.  Instead of using FIFO method, she retrieves the reports by author ID - usually picking the better dictators of course.  She knows I busted her and she did admit to it in on our work e-mail (not too bright) which I am saving just in case she gets out of hand - so far I'm still able to make money since really most of the dictators aren't bad. 

But every night it's starting to wear on me since she's screwing up turnaround time.  I don't really want to cause a big uproar being that it is such a small account and I need to work with her almost every night usually one on one.

What would you all do?  I want to handle this as delicate and professional as possible because we can't really afford to lose anyone on this account.  In other words, I refuse to stoop to her level by cherrypicking right back.

My boss has asked me several times why so-and-so does so much more than I do...I just bite my lip at that point but one of these days I think I might explode and just open up a can of worms....

Where I feel crazy, I set a goal of around 300 lines an hour (ha! not with these dictators but 250 is still good), every two hours make a snack to get me moving.  I love juicing veggies and making fruit smoothies in the blender, coffee makes me nuts.  I also do calisthenics (sp?) every couple of hours for about three minutes to keep my blood flowing and keep toned.  I walk the dog two times a day for about 10 minutes to get energized from the sun and keep a good color.  I take an hour break to watch good ol Judge Judy, and fix myself something nice n yummy, and after Judy I crank out my last hour called the 'power hour' where I take no prisoners and smoke comes off my keyboard!  Like a race to the finish line.

I can't see how you could do the 20 and the 10 minute clean break, that would slow me down!  Maybe I should take cleaning breaks, because I never want to clean when I have a block of time off and the dirt just collects.

This is not something new, it's been this way since the beginning.  The ONLY difference we made was to allow US based MTSOs that offshore the ability to post job ads because they hire US QA Editors.
