Not quite critical, but...

I have one doc who used to pronounce "exacerbate" "exasperate."  as in, "an exasperation of her back pain."  Obviously someone pointed this out to her, as she pronounces it correctly now, but Oh---so---slowly, really working on each syllable.  It would be hilarious if it weren't so sad.

MT-NY, I apologize for sounding so critical.
This is a touchy subject, as you can well see.

You're correct - I don't know it all! I have over 20 years of experience but when a client wants it a certain way, they just do.

If it is just one QA person who is doing this, I would take that up with a supervisor. I think I might have responded differently had I known it was just one QA person doing this and not all of the QA department.

In any event, I apologize.
My dear Alice, while you are being critical, what do you
huh?
Love it - now MT's are critical thinkers...sm
Transcription is much more than the keyboard. It is the critical thinking, problem solving, and interpretive medical language skills that enable these experts to produce a healthcare record that is the basis of the revenue cycle, part of the risk management and patient safety net, and continuity of care....Yea, now we are experts - why... we should be able to pull in $80K a year!
Do you mean like critical, stable, poor?
Not sure what your question...I'm just thinking of all the conditions someone can be in.  If it were a family member, hearing "guarded" would make me very nervous.
That's still no excuse to be rude and critical, or abusive
to others.
Anon, I notice you are very critical to anyone who supports SS or the other
done anything personal to you or are you just stirring the pot?
MQ has a long way to go with the ASR believe me for critical care. Not great by any means so maybe
didnt pan out as well as expected either.
Yes! We're talking critical skill developement here! nmx

As far as company VR for critical care it is not very good and I agree with the other poster. I tend
to leave little words in or if I have to take a lot of words out an extra word gets stuck in. It is a mess. If you are speaking of your own person VR at home to help I know nothing about that. With companies at this stage of the game you will not increase your productivity as you think.
