Not every SE is a "hog"

I'm an SE on DQS, and still, at this point, getting charged for computer rental.
Controlling work flow by having only PT/FT employees who are required to stick to set schedule seems to be a possible MQ goal. Makes business sense, IF that's what they are doing. Not that I agree with it.
BTW, MQ SEs (at least this one) are also required to submit schedules the same as employees via the same website, etc. I believe one difference RE scheduling is that SEs get a little more leeway in making changes to the set schedule we submit. I still have to contact my supervisor about any time off, even just one day. I try to stick to my schedule as best I can, but one of the things I enjoy about being an SE MT is the FLEXIBILITY!! I never purposefully wait until the end of pay periods to "hog" work... It sure seems like a lot of MTs here want to blame each other. Ugh.
In my opinion, it is the company's fault for not figuring out whatever it is they need to figure out so that their dedicated employees as well as their dedicated SEs have relatively consistent work...
It seems to me that MT work in every venue I have worked in - HMO doctor office, hospitals, small MT service, large MT services - has always gone through feast or famine phases, it's just the nature of the beast. Is it the holiday, the weather, the latest illness or lack thereof, maybe it's the full moon, or the beginning of a new fiscal year or new deductible period, OR is it the SEs or PT MTs eating up work last minute because they waited til end of pay period, OR is it the offshore MTs, OR is it poor planning on the MT company's part? At any given time, who knows. I really hate how MTs on this board make things so personal against other MTs. Aren't we all in this together? I guess not, from the MT to MT finger pointing there seems to be.
