Geeze would she work for $12 an hour without benefits.  Even at 300 lines per hour that is only $18 an hour and that again is without benefits.   I know how hard it is to speak up for what we feel we are worth but you gotta.   Just tell her that with an average of 200 lines per hour you feel that your experience and quality is worth much more than $12 an hour.   As an IC if I cannot make $30 an hour I feel I am spinning my wheels and I charge on average .12 cpl -- some are higher some lower I just gotta pass and  something else will come along.  I just got back an account that thought it would be cheaper to do in-house but could not find anyone that could get it done with all their other "duties" and so it is back to me at least for overflow but with just overflow I told them they would have to pay "premium price" as I cannot depend on it and have to fit it in and so am charging them more.   Good luck, have faith in yourself.  I pay my subs just starting off 8 cpl and that is with mentoring them and training them.
