their medical reports are going offshore and NO ONE CAREES. They look at me and smile, like I have just escaped from an institution. They don't give a flying fig where their reports are done. They don't even read them.

Star is a glutton for attention and told PEOPLE
That Tuesday that Star made her announcement....she had ALREADY gone to People Magazine PRIOR to the Tuesday show.......and spewed to them first - thereby sabotaging ABC's/Barbara Walter/Star Jones' already agreed upon announcement for that Thursday.
Star did this with the intention of *if I'm going down, I'm taking all of them down with me* and as a result, the View has lost viewership and probably will never come back as the once-good show it used to be. Star definitely did this with an ulterior motive and then tried to act like the VICTIM. Many saw right through this! How is someone going to STAB their *mentor* in the back like she just did?
Remember Joan Rivers? She did something similar to her *mentor* Johnny Carson and he never forgot it.!!!
Hopefully, Star Jones will become blackballed from Hollywood, albeit next week she is hosting at 10 pm House Hunters on HGTV.
I'm more annoyed to read that she is married to a Muslim *who hates Jews* - I did read that online in one of many articles. And then to listen to Star push Xtianity on The View seemingly contradicts her line about *it's very important that both married people have the same beliefs and religion* - is that an open admission that Star is now a *Muslim who hates Jews*? *curious* and not a religious discussion. Merely a discussion on Star's credibility which, to me, is NIL at this point.

if you live among trashy people, low income people, people w/o goals or direction,
content to just get by, you by default become a part of a group. "people" have decided to group trailer people as trash. that is because there are enough people in that group to earn the title and even if you aren't trash, you are categorized by others. did i think i was trash in lower class neighborhood surrounded by people who drank and fought all weekend? no but i knew i wasn't staying and did not try to pretend that all the fools in the neighborhood were just nice folks who ended up where they were because high horse snobs deemed their neighborhood low class. people for the most part live exactly where they belong because they don't want to educate themselves, they don't mind "trash" around them and they don't want to be bothered trying just a bit hard to extract themselves from that world. they justify everything to themselves i guess saying everyone who doesn't like their lifestyle is a snob and the comedians (Jeff Foxworthy/Chris Rock, etc) who make fun of them are just ill-informed.
As for me, I fought hard to get out and don't even want to look back. It amazes me people stay for generations.

There are as many of us involved in the association as you who are disgusted with the status quo and my suggestion is that you ride it out and run for office and move the problem folks to the back burner. I have not worked for a doctor yet who cares about BOS.
It is the transcription company owners who sell it not the doctors or facilities. None of my docs want anything to do with the single space after a period. They all still accept the 1-10 spelled out too, amoung other things. They do not have the time to nitpic over stuff that the AAMT group is so fixated on. They want to practice medicine and be given well transcribed, neat, correct documents and that is exactly what I do. I say if you want to start your own...go for it! Transcription companies will tell their Transcriptionist to do it their way anyway and someone out there might like your ideas better!

I'm not an idiot. I work for the paycheck and I know the MTSO's are in it for the money. Yes, business is business, but let me tell you, I've had a boss like you, Minnie. A boss that could care less about her employees personal situation or how it affects their job. She didn't want to know anything about her employees except that they can do the job. She wanted us to punch the timeclock and type 8 hours at full speed and to heck with everything else. So what if one of us was a single mom trying to make ends meet. So what if someone had a death in the family and was distracted. So what if another had just gone through a divorce and was having a little trouble feeling motivated. Who cares? She didn't.
And not Minnie either, apparently.
That boss who didn't care about me, got the bare minimum out of me. When work was out of TAT and she wanted people to volunteer for OT, do you think I volunteered? When someone called in sick and she needed someone to cover the weekend, do you think I volunteered?
Now I have a boss who truly cares about me and all her employees at the hospital I currently work for. We love her and she loves us. She wants to know why we're having a bad day. She sends us cards to make us feel better. And when our production falls off, she is always understanding. That does mean she is a push over. She knows when someone is taking advantage and she is fully prepared to discipline if the occasion calls for it, but she knows who doesn't take advantage and is willing to give and to those of us she trusts, she extends to us her kindness, compassion, and understanding.
And do you know what? All of us would do anything for her because she would do the same for us. I work OT whenever she needs it. I have changed my shift to working until midnight because she asked me to and needed the coverage while someone was off getting surgery. In turn, when my step-nephew was killed in a car accident, even though he wasn't a blood relative and didn't technically qualify for me to take bereavement leave, she let me take it anyway because I needed to help my sister and brother-in-law (it was his son). And when my daughter has a field trip, she lets me flex my hours so I can go. And when it was basketball season with my son, again I was able to flex my hours so I could make all of his games.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
People should care about other people. We should care that someone is a single mom and is struggling and we should offer our support and help if we can. And the MTSO's should care about their people. Happy people work harder. If you show your people you care about them, they will work harder for you because they want to and they appreciate you.
Minnie, if I worked with you or for you... well I wouldn't work for you long, let's just say that.

im wondering how the average person would react to knowing their records are taken care of overseas. Do you really think it matters? Or does it just matter to us because it is our jobs?
I hope more people do care, but how are they even aware of it? How many people actually even look at their medical records, ever?
This is an extremely frustrating time and I wish that there were more of us that could make a difference, but I'm very, very pessimistic.
Not that anybody cares, but my husband's birthday is today and he's 41.
