I am QA for a smaller company and absolutely love the fact that I can communicate directly with the MTs and they can communicate with me. In my eyes, it is more of a "mentoring" relationship and I believe it is the way it should be, but the key is to keep it professional and to not take advantage on either side. No one wants to be bombarded with constant e-mails, there is a job to do. But on the other hand, I feel it gives the MTs more of a sense that they are not just a number and that they matter! A quick question can be answered, a comment sent as in the first post here, and that is always appreciated. Our MTs are appreciated, and that's a fact. As you can probably tell, I love what I do and I feel blessed to have found my niche!
