When account specifics does not cover

I usually refer to BOS and it states to add the year if not stated -  if you are sure of the year.  Also - interestingly enough - it says if you are doing long dictation and doc says labs done on April 4, 2006 are.........and then says additonal labs 4/5.... okay to used slashed date - this is on page 121 of BOS edition 2 if you are interested.   That being said don't think you would be WRONG to leave off the year if it is verbatim account :))

Too, the MTSO is not earning extra from the client
The gains come from their paying out less to QA.
maybe you should pick up an extra account so you have something to do with all that free time OR
get a job doing QA. You sound like a frustrated QA person.
Your account specifics or the client should tell you which they prefer....
otherwise, I would use 2 spaces as that is the way it is normally done. I believe the AAMT recently has stated that only 1 space should be used, but I don't put a lot of stock in their rules. I go by what my client wants and account specifics.
All Chris did was cover the band Live's cover of the song. He
didn't do anything special.
Can they do surgery extra fast? What do they do with the extra glove in the pack?

Extra shift or extra work
Has anyone taken on an extra job or shift with a new company for a just a few months to get out of debt or to be able to pay for something that is needed or wanted?  I am thinking about taking on another job to get out of a stressful debt situation.   I am just afraid I would be going into another stressful situation working more hours with the very busy family schedule I have.
It is about more cover up
There isn't one thing liberal about it.  It is about, as noted, covering it, glossing right by it .. better than the rest of us .. rules don't count .. do what you want .. you run the show attitude that these idiots have adopted in their bid to right wing the world and do what they want.  Does Dick Cheney really need to be out shooting birds???  My God, he actually makes George look like the smart one now!!  Scares me too death to know these fools are in the woods playing with guns.
Just have to cover yourself

I have an account that asks that I  not use subcontractors but for vacation it is okay and I know if I had a two week illness or something they would be okay with it but for everday use, they don't want anyone but me.  But again, I only work with verbal contracts and I know that means I could be let go at any time but so could they.  I have asked my accounts every year for the past seven to ten years if they want a contract and they say no need for it.  So we just keep on plugging along with each other.

Most likely will not cover
Unless they are considered a "dependent" and living with your or their main residence is with you when not attending college, they will not cover.  Once they reach the age of 18, they must be attending college/school full-time and you have t have a form filled out by the school.  Sorry.

Is this the same as Sheer Cover?
and wondered if it was any good; it's less expensive than Bare Minerals, I think. It seemed that in the infomercials, they applied a lot of concealer beforehand, so I was wondering what the difference was from using liquid makeup and then powder to set. ?
I use Sheer Cover . .
They let me order only two times a year. They also break the payments into two payments. I was going to cancel, and they said I could get the kit without the face wash and moisturizer, so it's a pretty good deal. I like it very much.
You can cover dependents (but I think it's SM
pretty pricey) and office copays are $20.
WC does not cover CPS any longer. They sm
have determined that it is not caused by typing. Can you believe that?????
Take the cover off the litterbox.

Cover letter
I am a professional resume writer, as well as an MT for some years now. It is advisable to send a cover letter with the resume as it shows you have an interest in the company and it is a means of introducing yourself. If I can be of further help, please e-mail me.
So, if I hire someone to cover a specific
eight-hour period and she decides she wants to stop after six hours and spend the last two hours of her shift making dinner, how is the work that comes in during those two hours supposed to get done? Or does that not matter in your world? I have contractual TAT to meet, and I determine schedules on that basis, not on someone's dinner plans. If an employee of mine agrees to cover a specific period of time but fails to do so for something other than a legitimate emergency (and the OP was clearly already making plans not to work the full eight hours of her shift), then that employee is fired. I can do that. I have done that. I don't care how much work gets done in the first six hours. If someone has a specific eight-hour shift, it's because there is work to be done during all eight hours. Leaving the last two hours of work undone on a whim could put me out of business. I will not allow some little princess to do that to me.
A good of thumb is 30%, that should cover everything.

Well, I read in the cover story of the TV...sm

I read in the TV book a story about this season of the Sopranos and they did say Tony does get knocked off....but Uncle Jr is the only one in the house, completely flipped out, and Carmela is out and about but about to get in her new car and drive home.  I'm thinking that Tony dies and she has got that new car and perhaps the police will think she had motive to kill him........ohno....

Uncle Jr is totally *out to lunch* at the moment in my opinion.

Thanks for the optimism though!!!

be sure your insurance will cover surgery AFTER sm
he's going to lose so much weight the skin will be hanging and a lot of insurance companies will not pay for "cosmetic" procedures like tummy tucks, etc. to get rid of the excess skin. Just be aware. Good luck!!
question about cover letters
If the job ad says send your resume, do you send a cover letter also?
I've never had a problem switching from account to account.
The problem I had was being switched too soon. If I don't get one account spec solidly in my memory with QA feedback on mistakes before starting another, I get confused. The other problem I had with former jobs was inconsistent QA. One person tells you one thing, another person tells you another.

Lately, I don't have a problem with it. Right now, my binder has 8 account specs (some I've never had to use) and I'm picking up a new weekend job for a while. The terminology and report formats stay basically the same. It's just all those little preferences. LOL
The disney tickets cover 4 parks so you are not set in where you go- sm
They cover Disney, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and MGM-Studios. With a park hopper pass you can bounce between all 4 Disney parks in 1 day and it only counts as 1 day/ticket. Without the hopper option you can only go to 1 park that day, of course these are a little cheaper. Check out the Disney web site, it will explain all the ticket options so you know what to ask for when you do get your tickets. Universal is separate, is 2 parks in one basically, one side is more kid oriented than the other. Sea World is separate too, they have a few rides there now too.
homeowners ins doesn't cover this? *curious*

I have an HMO for Small Business Owners.  I also have homeowner's insurance and I have my computers fully stealthed (per HIPAA laws) so no crackers/hackers can gain access.  Actually I have many programs protecting all this medical record stuff.  But I thought homeowner's covered the professional liability insurance when we own our homes and work from home (?)

Oh well, I am sure that Florida will be one of the last states to change over for MTs.  *lol* - perhaps by then, I'll be out of the business/retired/permanent vacation...isn't THAT wishful thinking now?!...HAHAHAHA

I use the stereo headphone type that cover - sm
your whole ear. My first set (Aiwa) cost about $30 and lasted about 3 years, second, bought an expensive ($130) noise-cancelling set (Sony). They lasted about 18 months and were not as comfortable and went bad (one side has a bad hum to it now and are unusable---cord pulled out from plug --I unplug them at least several times a day to listen through the speakers --helps me get words I cannot "hear", guess it could not handle that). Just got a set of Maxells for $35, also noise cancelling (don't use that option though), that are very comfortable, block out lots of noise and with any luck will last a long time. I may just go buy another set now so I have them for backup when the time comes, hopefully in 3-4 years. --So obviously it depends on the brand and how hard you are on them.
They can't "tell you when" to work, but if they need someone to cover certain hours ...
such as noon to 8 pm it's up to you whether to accept the work or not, you are still an IC. I had a job doing radiology where I "had" to be online between certain hours and work had a 4-hour TAT. I was an IC, I only had to work those hours because I AGREED to it. So in effect I did "choose" to work those hours, I could have turned down the job if I didn't want to work those hours.

Loreal will cover the gray. Try an ash blonde shade. SM
That is what I do and when my white starts growing in at the sides, it blends in nicely. Looks like highlights.

Professional color looks amazing, but costs a fortune. You can do it yourself, but don't use the inexpensive brands, stick to the better ones. They will cover the white.
Your cost estimate is about right. Lots of insurances don't cover it. nm
When I was considering it, my insurance (Aetna) wouldn't cover the Band and I seriously considered going to Mexico to have it done (about $7000 at the time). I decided on a RNY instead, but Band surgery out of the country can be a great option if its researched thoroughly.
Don't think the worker privacy acts cover discussions such as this...
more likely they cover things like credit reports, evaluations, etc. It's rude to discuss in front of others, but not illegal...of course, in the US you can sue for anything.

There are some short-term insurance policies out there that cover you betweens job but do know that
they will not constitute as having "real" insurance thus the same has having had no insurance for those few months. I stupidly got a short-term policy for three months until my new insurance would kick in and it ended up not meaning anything to my new insurance. I had to wait a year for my preexisiting. This was Regence Blue Shield and others could be the same way. If nothing else, get a cheap high deductible plan ASAP to kick in right away if you dont want to take the Cobra.
True but that is to cover the expenses like rent, office supplies, sm
manager salaries. That does not include payroll that is based on service.

A good example woould be this: You are starting a book store. You need to plan the original inventory and six months worth of expenses. If you sell that inventory, you use the money from that to buy more books. If you do not sell any at first, you can stay in business for six months while you get noticed.

With transcription or any service business, you need enough in the bank to cover the same expenses, those that can keep you afloat while building your client base. However, you only hire more people as you get more customers. The payroll does not figure into the 6 months as it is based on what you provide, whereas the 6 months takes into account what it takes to get it going even if you do not have 1 employee.

Very, very few companies can have $800,000 lying around. If they did, they probably would need to invest it in equipment or spend it in other ways or the IRS would consider it profit and tax the heck out of it!
Always! When emailing my resume, my email acts as my cover letter and when faxing, I always have a
Your cover letter says much more about you than your resume ever can.  Your resume lists your education, your jobs, and highlights your skills.  In your cover letter, you have an opportunity to sum up how many years total experience you have and get specific about certain things you've accomplished at certain jobs.
you get a network of MTs to cover as backup whom you can trust. kinda like docs are "oncall"

23K a year - not taxed. Women must walk behind the men, be quiet, and cover their face and head.
They would send me back home in about 2 days or just plain shoot me. I would never make it there.

I checked into it a while back and that was the salary then. It could be more now.

They do set you up with a home and housekeeper free of charge for the length of your stay. I know I would not adjust to their way of life, especially having to walk behind the men and being quiet about everything!
MQ - I gotta tell ya
MQ is okay to work for..I have worked at many inhospital positions and transcription company positions and MQ is no worse than other companies I have worked for..

gotta ask

Okay, this makes sense.  So what about people who live near the poles who have extended hours of darkness?  Will they rule Alaska at being high risk?  I knew a woman who had lived there in the service and she said she did her gardening at 2 AM because it wasn't dark.  They adjusted.

Personally, I work better at night and sleep better during the day.  I am sharp at night and can produce way more.  I can sleep deeply, restfully during the day but not at night.  I seem to be the opposite.  I've been this way since I was a kid.  Maybe I came out of the womb too late in the day!!!!
