I have had 4 emachines within the past 10 years all with no problems. First one I gave to my son when I upgraded to a newer model, then I gave that one to my daughter and I upgraded to another. I am now just about ready to get another one and give my daughter this one. As long as you maintain it, it works. Virus software and doing regular maintenance like defragmenting, disk cleanup etc. I have never had a problem with any of my Emachines. I do work from home on them and they work just fine.
