To give an honest answer, I think that is an unrealistic goal. Realistically, I feel a very good MT would be working, at the very least, 12 hours a day nonstop (with no problems) to do that. My mentor has been an MT for 20+ years, works on a great platform, types like a demon, and she can do 2400 in a hard 8 hour shift. The situation would have to be OPTIMAL - fast platform, bunch of templates, bunch of expansions, fingers communicating well with brain, never look anything up, all demographics be present every new dictation, with excellent dictators. I don't want to discourage you, but when it comes to this job, you can't afford to plan on so many variables being perfect in order to maintain 3000 lines a day.
