Nope, can't maneuver my foot as well...

Possibly benign Barony maneuver or test
which is a test for positional vertigo.

HEART: is regular rate and rhythm, no murmurs Carotids, no bruits bilaterally or indication _______ sharp discs bilaterally.
EYES: Grade 2 __ visual fields. ____ are intact, no nystagmus.
I've been stuck on this for a few days now. It doesn't seem to matter if I slow down the dictation or raise the volume. I just plain cannot hear what she is saying. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Leah

HEART: is regular rate and rhythm, no murmurs Carotids, no bruits bilaterally or indication _______ (sounds like winebergers) ____ (sounds like fundo )with sharp discs bilaterally.
EYES: Grade 2 full visual fields. ____ ( grades?) 3,4,6 extraocular muscles are intact, no nystagmus. Pupils equal round reactive to light.
Thank you for the EOM suggestion. That's exactly what it was.
The other 2 I'm still lost on though. I've googles winebergers and that obviously wasn't it. Haha. Anymore suggestions? Thanks so much!

I know it's a bit jumbled up. I was waiting to see what the blanks are and then I usually go back and clean it up. I'll put in the subheadings and appropriate punctuation when I'm done. I've just found that way works for me. Do you have any better suggestions? I'm totally open. I was thinking it was fundi too since it talks about the discs afterwards.

No, no, no. You totally didn't hurt my feelings. I'm still new at this, so I'm open to feedback. Punctuation is my downfall unfortunately.

You were right about the cranial nerves heading. Thank you so much. I was able to get it figured out from there. It was nothing like it sounded. I can't believe I got it.
NEUROLOGICAL: Orientation and language are normal. Fundi with sharp discs bilaterally. CRANIAL NERVES: II full visual fields. III, IV, VI extraocular movement muscles are intact. No nystagmus
Now I have 1 more question. Does this sentance make sense? I just hate neurology. haha.
Strength is 5/5 on her upper and lower extremities including proximal 1 distally.

Thanks for catching that. I actually changed it to movement and forgot to delete muscles. Good thing I haven't sent it back yet. :-)
going rate for neurology mt
I was approached and asked to submit a bid for neurology transcription. They are in a bind and need someone immediately. This is an ESL dictator, and the account is in the Midwest. TAT would be 24 to 48 hours. Any idea what the going rate would be? I was thinking .11 cpl. Your thoughts?
Psych here too, and neurology,
but that's probably because I do so much of it! There is really no one specialty that I dislike, I guess.
No one has mentioned neurology...
I love neurology, psych, ortho...okay, just about everything but ophthalmology. ER is fun too...get the drunks and crazies...
S/L Perfifth study per neurology?
I can't seem to find anything. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
I swear I had a neurology doctor
who would dictate into the late hours, sometimes almost hour-long dictations, and I could periodically hear the cork coming out of a bottle of wine...guess we are not the only ones that are tempted
Neurology, neurosurgery, infectious dz..
I have HPI Orthopedic/Neurology book (sm)
With that and google, I was able to pick up ortho in no time. It may sound daunting, but a lot of what they say is repetitive and 6 months to a year from now, you'll be wondering why you worried :)
Good luck!
Have you tried Stedman's Neurology/Neurosurgery book? sm
I have a third edition(2003) I could sell you cheap ($20 including postage if you live in the continental US). The fourth edition (2006) is the latest. Just e-me if you're interested.
The hamster release I typed was on a pediatric neurology note. nm
