retired and closed his practice. He divided up his records among several other docs in the area. It was awful. We tracked down the records, but it took a few phone calls.

My pediatrician still uses paper. She has always handwritten everything. I was just there today and saw a sign saying they were hiring full- & part-time. I was in a hurry so I didn't ask, but I will be calling tomorrow when the office opens. I am assuming they are looking for data entry people to start moving all those files from paper to electronic. If that's the case, then I will be applying.
My pediatrician said not to give PB as it
can actually prolong diarrhea. Ginger ale is best for nausea. I'd just do liquids for hydration and forgo anything else for bowel rest. I always put toothbrushes through the dishwasher or at least dip in bleach and rinse well when we have a sickness to help stop spread too.
Pediatrician - what age to stop
I'm typing reports for 20-year-olds who are being hospitalized in Pediatrics and seen by pediatricians. Some of these patients are already parents themselves. I don't think I would want my 7-year-old in the same room as a 20-year-old with a baby of her own.
At any rate, does anyone know the age nowadays when pediatricians sent their pts to adult care providers? It used to at age 15 or 16, but that was eons ago.

See a pediatrician. Ask around for a good one if you don't already have one. sm
Also, research the internet. There are many natural ways to handle things like this without medication, but it will take time and patience.

Another update - pediatrician report....
They just got back from the pediatrician's office. The doctor is a pretty smart woman and weighed the child in her shorts and t-shirt, no shoes, and told her that she has to come by every week and be weighed in exactly the same outfit, and that she checks pockets and under shirts to make sure that no one tries to stuff them to make themselves look heavier. I guess she's seen these tricks before. She told the child that she's at the correct weight now for her height and shouldn't lose anymore weight. She did give my hubby some referral sources for counseling so he'll make phone calls about that today and he's going to make his daughter go even though right now she is very upset with him about it. "Oh well" I said to her!
may be oppositional-defiant disorder? Perhaps a visit to your pediatrician would help. Also
