Anyone use Bare Minerals makeup? If so, how do you like it? I was thinking of trying it.

I started using Bare Minerals awhile back but they are so expensive. I found a dealer who, with her mother (an RN) make their own mineral products for a fraction the cost of Bare Minerals. The quality is even better than the original. They have been supplying high-end stores for years. You will find the daughter on eBay. Her seller name is snowmandce. You can buy them either in little pots or (what I do) is buy them in baggies and put them in the containers I also buy on ebay from CalBoy who sells the little acrylic pots very inexpensively. Diane snowman dce) will make up any color kit that you want!! All of her colors are on her mother's web site which is Sweetscents.com. Diane sells to many wholesalers. Check this out and read her feedback comments. I know you will be pleased! lynn

Been using for years and love. Would never use anything else, seriously. I usually get from QVC.com. Their prices are pretty good and often they have specials. Tip--Bisque is the best concealer ever. Highly recommend. I will say it does take a few times applying to get used to it. At first, it seems like you put too much on. You only really need a tiny bit. It lasts forever, too.

If you ask, Bare Minerals to extend the time for shipment, they will - also you can get only 1 base color, rather than the 2 - I've been buying it through ebay (careful about quantity - lots of 'samples) - & QVC carries it also at about the same price as the company, but shipping is cheaper. good luck
My Grandmother uses Bare Minerals
She is 75 and has never looked better. Her skin glows. It's crazy. That's my next purchase after my other things run out!

I purchased Bare Minerals from an infomercial. When you're on the phone, they offer you things to add to the basic package. It ended up costing me $160.00, so it is pretty expensive. Plus they enroll you to receive a new set every 2 months or so. Working at home, I don't use enough make where I would go through it that fast, so I cancelled after my first shipment. It is pretty expensive, but I really like the makeup. I've even done my teenage daughter's makeup on special occasions. She has acne, and it really covers well. I just wish there was a way of buying it where it wasn't so expensive.
NOrdstrom's carries Bare Minerals
That is what I am told and keep thinking about checking it out but haven't yet. I also love it and to be sure as I felt like I could not see a difference, I did one side of my face with it and one with my "old" Clinique make-up and there was a HUGE difference. So that sold me. It lasts longer and I think it does work out to be about as much as Clinique or the other ones and it is worth it to me as I get older. But I did hear it was being sold at Nordstrom's and so that might help with the shipping as that is what adds to it.

...and you don't have to sign up for a makeup "club," or anything. I totally agree with you that this makeup is great for all the basic purposes (coverage, lasting), but their slogan is "Makeup so healthy you can sleep in it." There is a delay in time between when you can apply your powder after moisturizer, but it is really worth it.
To go with your powder I recommend the "pump brush" offered at some of the cosmetic online stores. You fill the handle with your powder mixture (I mix two different powders, changing it up or down according to how much sun I've been getting) and the pump brush will distribute some to the bristles, tap and have at it! This is great for carrying it with you to minimize the loss into the lining of your handbag!
I cannot recommend Bare Minerals enough. I used to be a MAC convert, and have tried everything from Chanel to Maybelline--this product does not disappoint.

Try using a more natural makeup
I hear mineral-based makeup is the best for your skin as it contains no harsh chemicals or ingredients. its also supposed to be great for sensitive skin and/or acne-proned skin.
I used Mineralles by Shaklee & i love it!! It doesnt even compare to my old makeup (I used Lancome before)
Its more expensive than drug-store brands but less expensive (or the same) to the department store brands.
Permanent makeup
I don't know about the schools, but two of my coworkers and one physician had it done a few years ago...looks great, eyeliner and lips! Never have to apply eyeliner again, what a luxury!

Try QVC.com first.. I believe they sell it a little cheaper. I love the Rever-upper and their powder makeup is awesome. 
permanent makeup career
I was told that you could make tons of money with this. I have been searching for a schools for a career change, and one is esthetician. That is too expensive for me right now, I do not want to go further in debt, but the permanent makeup section is offered alone, and is less than half the cost. She swears by it, if course she was trying to get me to go to that school, just wondered if you have any opinions. Thanks.

Bare amount of work for two days. They say the server is down.
Thank goodness I have a PT job or I'd be a mental case. This is not a good time to not be making an income, when the economy is in such a vulnerable state. I have just disconnected my second telephone line. Now, am going to buy a cord of wood to keep warm this winter as I doubt I'll be able to heat the house with natural gas from what they are describing the bills to be like ($800-$1000 per month).

Just because they are having a disagreement does not mean she would be better off without him. The parents maybe, but I doubt her DH feels like he would be better off without his parents, even if it is true. This is an issue that can definitely be worked out.

I feel for HIM that he passed at such an early age. Hopefully he is on to bigger and better things . . . but when he was about 15, she gets drunk, drools all over him, and calls him 'Schmoopie' on national television and that is love??? Were you a very slow typist? All I know is that I have been doing this for about 7 years and had gotten to the point where I could pretty much type along with the dictator and when done did not really have to make corrections or edit once I transcribed the report the first time. It was pretty much perfect without any corrections to be made and I was getting paid double the amount. Now I am spending the same amount of time and getting paid half less. I don't see how this could benefit anybody or why anybody would LOVE this unless they were a very slow typist to begin with!
I must be one of the only ones who loves it
It's probably because I was medical secretary/ transcriptionist/paralegal for over 20 years before I became an MT. I recently started back working part time as a LT. It is very hard and they can definitely run hundreds of pages as the above poster said, but the TAT is usually a week or more. The work I'm transcribing now needs to be done in 2 weeks. He tells me he loves me all the time, and not
only does he tell me, he shows me. He isn't romantic at all, but he does little things all the time that shows he is thinking of me.
He likes to share new experiences with me, he enjoys going to craft shows with. He isn't particularly fond of working in the yard, but he knows how much I enjoy it and he spends hours working in the yard, even when I'm not working with him.
He cooks and helps around the house (usually without grumbling). I could serve him burnt toast for supper and he would thank me for a good meal.
He overlooks my faults.
He loves me despite my faults and I know I can trust him.

My cat loves to sit on the window sill too...
I make sure and keep the blinds up some during the day so she can do so. I think she likes sunbathing. My other cat could care less. He's getting older though. He is definitely past the age of wanting to "hunt" anymore. The youngest still trys to get out sometimes, but is generally pretty happy sitting at the window (this was a wild cat rescued out of the woods too BTW). The older one we let in the backyard with us sometimes. He just sits there and walks around some, but that's it. None are allowed outside by themselves though, especially since we just moved and they could run off and get lost easliy.
I've had inside and outside cats my whole life. It is a personal decision and just depends on the circumstances I think.

PRD is DOS based and must run in DOS-based WP program.... I have a link that explains how to load WP DOS if you are interested. Looks pretty complicated to me... I gave up as realized I was eventually going to have to move to Windows. Bought InstantText which allows you to add PRD glossaries - but I hate it!!

I'd bet my last dollar (that I made transcribing today) that any other job has the same hang-ups! Tired of the same old thing, low pay... It is the economy. Everything is going up, we're not the only ones suffering! Everyone is! When I get those types of feelings I often think of the women/men with spouses fighting the war! Now, that's something to groan about! Oh, I'm soooo bored (barf)! Life is what ya' make it... for sure... Good luck in your endeavors whatever it may be...

Pound the breasts out flat with a mallet and coat in egg and milk; then dredge them in Progresso Italian breadcrumbs and crushed saltine crackers mixed with Romano Cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Flash fry them in hot peanut oil and serve them hot with tortellinis and pesto sauce and a nice fresh salad.

My dog loves his brown rice and chicken!
He turns his nose up at most dog foods. Found out he was actually eating the cat food. For some reason the cats stopped attacking him when he got near their food. A few weeks after I put the cat food up on a bench where he can't reach it, he had lost 5 lbs. He'll eat the dog food now, but he loves his special rice and chicken once in a while.
