...maybe, but the schedule would stink and so would your hair when you got home. Speaking of home.. being able to work from home is a huge plus in so many ways that, to me, it's a bonus, and in the "real" world, bonus equals $$

McDonalds?
What do you mean "with the way transcription is going?" Could working at McDonalds really be better?
My DH was telling me McDonalds was going to do this too,
but inside the US...not India. I think we should boycott the drive throughs that don't use in-house workers. Take the time to walk inside and place your order with a real person and make it a point to say so. Of course, the only way it will make a real statement is if EVERYONE does it, so what's the chance of that. So we'll watch our MINIMUM WAGE jobs now just creep away as if nothing is wrong, right!
You can look it up on McDonalds on the web. YUCK

Not only do they taste awful (I tried a bite once - yuck), they have 560 calories, 21 grams of fat, etc., etc., but what people don't even look at is the SODIUM!

Sodium in these bad boys is 1260!!!

And people EAT this junk?

McDonalds - we were 16 and it was our first job. Married at 22. Now we're 31.

My sister works at McDonalds. sm

She started as your typical fast food employee and worked her way up to management.  She makes excellent money and has great perks - went to a seminar this past summer in Las Vegas that was entirely paid for by McDonalds.  One of the speakers at the seminar was Bob Greene (Oprah's diet/fitness person if I have the name correct).  I also know of someone else who works at Burger King in management that makes an excellent wage.  I actually gained more respect for these type of positions when I found out what some were actually making.  I do not know anyone personally or what they make at WalMart but have ran into more than on disgruntled employee at the cash register there.  Just my opinion but I think the knowledge that comes with being an MT should make you qualified for most types of office positions in medical offices and for any office for that matter.  Have you tried that route?

Funny you should mention McDonalds
I was just thinking the same thing
Yeah, $16 a day gets you real far in the U.S. - maybe 3 meals at McDonalds
x
no i don't love being MT but it beats McDonalds. no i don't work for a great company.
no raises and constant shift in management. no i don't make more than enough money to just pay my bills but i have cut down on overhead of regular job outside of the home.

it's an okay job relatively speaking.
