May get slammed for this, but....sm

have you considered how your husband would look in his friends' eyes (not just the jerk friend, but anyone who knew about this, and they all would) if he gave you that number and you called her and/or the wife!?!   As wrong, childish, inconsiderate, immoral, etc., etc., as we know it is, men have an unwritten code about this kind of thing.  Even the most decent, respectable man who would never cheat on his wife, would not tell on a "friend" who did.  I agree that your husband would never have mentioned it to you if he were doing anything wrong.  The wife knows he came home drunk, and she will be suspicious enough.  Let her handle it...it's probably not the first time.  Trust your husband and let it go...it doesn't involve you even though she did call your husband.

okay, here we go again - the board is going to get slammed, but alas - sm
I will state this - I have worked for them for four years and have had no problems. It really really really depends on the account you get. However, since you have an interview with them tomorrow, might I suggest that you tell them that you do not want to be shifted from account to account throughout the day. Tell them that you are willing to work on a couple of accounts, but it will either be done as a split (one hospital in the morning, and the other hospital in the afternoon) or one account one day and the other account the next day. That seems to be why so many people are leaving them.

A couple of the accounts they have are very picky clients, and I'm glad that a hospital is actually reading the transcription. You should see the crap that gets passed through.

Now, before I sign off on this, I do know that I will be blasted all over the board from former Diskriter employees, but as I said, I have been with them for four years. Right now, they are going through TREMENDOUS changes in staffing, and that's a good thing. So it can only get better from this point on. My checks have always been on time. I can ask questions without being penalized on line count. They give you the computer, however, they do not want you using it for PERSONAL use (which is quite understandable), but some transcriptionists seem to get offended by this.

Best of luck on your interview and hope to work with you!
No we have been slammed ! Slowed down last week some but now - sm
its gone nuts. I took on a little extra this weekend to help....usually do 90 minutes over the weekend, took 120 minutes though to help out, plus I missed a day this week due to throwing out my back. Fun.
I know of 2 companies, neither of whom offshore, that are slammed with
overflow from the MQ shutdown. I think clients are looking for anyone that works on platforms they use to pick up the slack.
Feel your pain, but knew you would get slammed. I think

I know this sounds harsh and probably will get slammed by this board, but I would tell him that if
he does not check into a formal rehab program that you are going to call Social Services and have them check about having his children removed.  These kids are too young to be in the situation of "taking care of daddy," and there could potentially be serious consequences.  There could also be more serious complications with his head injury that may be surfacing along with his drinking.
