For those of you MTs that have disabilities, and are stressed beyond belief because all companies seem to want the same production level, no matter what your medical condition might be - Well, there is a GREAT company just for us.  www.nticentral.org.  It is a very long application. You have to submit to them a doctor's letter stating you are handicapped.  You only have to transcribe 40 WPM!!!!  My friend sent me an email about this company.  I was so jazzed, and am still filling out the application; however, I am waiting on my total disability, and do not want to jeopardize that at all!!  Wanted to spread the cheer for those of you that are not waiting on disability, or anything else that might jeopardize getting amy monies.  This company sounds fabulous!!

Children with disabilities
I have two children who have mild autism.  My husband and I fought the school system for years.  The special education department told us, "I can't see your son analyzing novels."  He could not multiple, subtract, add, divide, or any simple math that a 9th grader should be able to do.   My oldest son is now in 9th grade and has not learned what he should have in public school.  After doing much research, we came up with a plan to homeschool our son and he can analyze novels!  He is finally learning!  We have our work cut out for us as he is many years behind, but he will catch up.  We have had such great success with him that we are going to home school our younger son as well.  Home schooling is not for everyone.  You will know if and when you are ready to home school when you have had enough.  It was the best decision we ever made!  For us, it was the light at the end of the tunnel!
MT w/disabilities...it's a legit site

My sister does work through them.  She does a lot of VA reports because the VA has to have so much of a percentage of disabled workers doing their transcription.  This organization also has agreements with ATT, FTD, etc, many mail order catalogs type of companies where the work can be done with a computer from hom.

She has been with them for 3 years now I think and it is legit.
