I do bet I know who will have their trips paid though--maybe employees of MW (maybe BH or BM or VP). This co is practically AAMT.

Those of us on the east coast would have to take an addition 2 days in travel each way, so there is 4 days gone right there. While the idea is nice, I am with you on the fact that if I go to Hawaii, I certainly do not want to go to sit in meetings. Of course, all you have to do is sit in 1 for the writeoff, but still, that is way too far to go, just as the trip to Australia was too far to go last year. I would have loved to have gone to either of those places though for a normal reason.

I would still go if someone were to donate the money to me in dollar bills. I remember one was so bold to ask for that for the Australia trip and that took nerve, but where there is determination, are there no bounds? Gotta love determination! I was not so inclined.

In any event, AAMT lost me and probably will lose all their practitioners who have been around awhile. Let the new blood have them. They can pull the wool over their eyes. I have had it with AAMT. No more.

Anyone going to the AAMT Annual Convention in Honolulu?
Whooly Cow! Just visited the website and registration cost is anywhere from $295, member (early regis) to $600 nonmember (late regis)! Plus of course, flight, hotel, transportation. GEEZ!

Are there any MTs who can afford to go? Are there any hospitals or MT companies who will pay for their MTs to attend the meeting in Honolulu?

Do you suppose next year's meeting might be in Bangalore or Bombay?

Not the OP, but I lived there too (in Honolulu) years ago and loved it. Definitely a culture
