MS Office Button is top lt hand corner
when you are in Word. I actually added the button for my tool bar across the top of Word, as I like 2007 too look similar to 2003 Word. So, now I have the button for auto correct as an easy access.

I've used Hand-Eze and Thergonomic Hand Aids. sm
They help with the carpal tunnel and keep hands warm for me. They cover the hand and wrist but leave the fingers free. I wear them inside out, though, because the seams rub on the skin too much for me. I've gotten so used to them, that it is more comfortable wearing them while typing than typing with nothing on.
Don't talk about hand, I still remember the one that got her hand chewed up by her pet rat....

It may not be relevant at the time of dictating a physical exam or social history but in the future it would be good to know if the patient breaks the finger(s), wrist, hand, arm.
Click on tools, AutoCorrect, and click on tab that says
AutoFormat as you type and uncheck the ordinals option.
If it's installed, click or F10 to open it, click on...sm
the little white piece of paper icon to bring up the window where you ADD your new entries to, type your abbreviation in the Keyword box, then drop down to the Text to Type box and put in what you need it to say, then click Okay. You're done! If you want to delete your entry, arrow down to it, then click on the Trash Can icon. It'll ask if you want to put it on the clipboard, say yes and hit okay. If you want to modify it, use the little hand on the piece of paper icon. I like to click on the Disk icon to save stuff once I enter it, too, as a backup. If you're working and want to enter a paragraph or a page, you'll hightlight your stuff, bring up the ADD window, copy and paste it into the Text to Type area using the commands on the bottom of that box, name it, and hit okay. To use hot keys and stuff, you'll have to read the instructions in the help file. Good luck! ..nm

Living room right in front of my window....I also ordered those screen dividers from Collections.com a long time ago and I am good...I don't have any small children, just a husband and 23 year old son who both work nights and i am pretty much left alone...YAY! :) But we are moving soon and I will have a whole room to myself with a DOOR...may put a bed in there too. LOL

I have been where you are now. It is not fun, it is very upsetting and frustrating, but things will come your way soon. There are many accounts out there, you just need to find the right ones. All you need is one, and the rest will come by "word of mouth".
My advice is to just call and ask if they made a decision and if it is not you, then just thank them for their time and ask if it is okay if you check back with them periodically to see how things are going.

an icon that looks like a green arrow pointing down. If you click once on that, your transnet status box pops back up.
Might be meaning the 3 boxes left upper corner??
the 3 little square boxed in the right hand corner, see them. The middle one makes a bigger screen. Unclick it and it goes back to regular size. This this what you meant.

I have had a heck of a time trying to sign in. It keeps telling me I cannot post a link and I am not trying to post a link. Can anyone help me? I would love to join some other MTs in a Chat room.

I've read some of the responses to the chat room. I suggested 7:00 EST, some one else suggested 8:00 for those on the west coast. Tonight was mentioned as a good time for at least one. 
My suggestion would be to pick a time, say 8:00 on the west coast, every night. Those that can make it will be there and those that cannot make it on any given night would be assured some one would be there the next night they tried. Once enough discovered the place and how much fun it can be, possibly there would be enough interest to have 1 or 2 almost every night.
For those who arn't sure what I'm talking about - at the top of the page, right side is a link "chat room." Click on that and you should be good to go.
This is just a suggestion. If not interested, ignore. Otherwise, hope to see some folks this evening 8:00 west coast time. (Unless some one has a better time that would work for most).

new to MT and new to chat
I've never chatted before... seems a little weird. I have a 3yo son whom I have never had to put in day care. Trying to not to; but my husband's pressuring me to get a job. I don't mind; but I'd rather try to keep my son with me... so I'm interested in finding out how to do this... I used to do transcription at a hosp about 5 yrs ago... I still type 82 wpm. do I still need to get a foot pedal or is that ancient hx? Is there any recommended/required softward needed to purchase to begin? How do I do invoicing and line counts? It seems a bit overwhelming... do I need to take a course? Is it something I can do at night and at nap times when my son is asleep? How demanding are the docs? How approachable? I'm scared but excited to try it once I'm armed with a little more info...thanks!

The Chat section is closed/discontinued on MTStars.com due to constant abuse of the System (Deliberate Trolling, Abusive Language, Profanity etc.).
Administration has no plans to restore this feature in near future.

On the main board, menu on the left says "chat". I have clicked on it several times and it always says no one in the room.

Does anyone ever go into the chat room(s). I have checked there at least a dozen times on different days at different times of the day and have never found anyone in there.
