friends have 'Chessie'. They are rumored to be a tad more high maintenance for a few years than labs - have really really strong work drive, but also mellow around 2 or 3 as well. Actually my labs never really mellowed til 4 or 5. Enjoy! Sounds like a GREAT dog! Obviously super smart!

Breeder
We have bred dogs for years.  That is my husband's business.  quite successful.  He also trains hunting dogs.  I dont have to back off from my dog, they would never and have never growled at me.  I can take a bone right out of their mouths if i want to.  They are trained to listen and obey.  They know that we are their master.  They are trained to voice commands.  They know their place in our family, however they HAVE a place in our family.  It is possible to train a dog and also treat them like you love them and are part of the family.
