Taylor and Katherine were my favs this week. Taylor is consistent in entertaining people and Katherine has a very strong voice, although her choice of songs isn't always the best. I'm hooked on Idol! LOL Bye-bye Kevin.

I am confused. You talk about Kellie making Southerners look stupid and then talk about "his" and "him. Kellie Pickler is "her." So, who are you talking about?

I like Kellie because I think she can sing. But I can't stand her at the same time because of the way she talks and acts. You may find it cute and all, but those of us who are from the south (I'm from NC) find it very irritating. The majority of people that live in the south don't act like that. And, believe it or not, we have been to the "big city" before...LOL. I live in Greensboro where American Idol held one of the auditions. One of the things that really peeved me was that they kept referring to Greensboro as a "small town." Greensboro is not a small town. It is a city. It may not be New York or Chicago, but it is a city, and in no means a small town. Anyway, like I said, I do like her because she can sing, but I think she makes all of us who live in the south look stupid, which we are not.

I certainly don't think she should win, but I do think she has a great personality. She's certainly one of the more intersting ones - to me at least. I heard on E channel she and Constatine from last year met at a party and have become good friends.

yet another Baywatch cookie cutter stringy Barbie doll looking blonde. Katherine is truly a beautiful young woman. Maybe it's me, but I just don't find that bleach blonde look very distinctive. They all look alike to me. And yes, she's either a very good actress or dumb as a box of hair. Okay, I can understand being from a place where people don't eat a certain kind of food as a rule "SAL-mon", but to have never heard of a fish called a salmon? Exactly what rock has she been living under?
My carpenter looks like Kevin Costner.

I'm beginning to think that the Kevin vote is
America making fun of American Idol. I can't see how he's gotten enough votes and I do really hope he doesn't last much longer as he's certainly not in a league with the rest of the performers on the show this year. I'm afraid Bucky will probably fall for the same reason. There are several really great performers this year, these 2 just aren't.

Bucky
No pro future for Bucky?? Huh-he was approached by Led Zepplin a few weeks into Idol. I am not a rock fan or a Led Zepplin fan, but think that was a pro invitation. I am from Rockingham, so know. I have only lived here for two years, originally from the midwest, but as far as Kelly and Bucky-they talk and act like they do down here. Might sound "dumb like a box of hair," but that is the way it is here. I think Kelly is cute (and plays a dumb blonde well), but also think she has probably lived a sheltered life and never been out of Albemarle, North Carolina. All in all, North Carolina still has 3 in the top 8. Cannot beat that!!
Kevin Costner. I forgot about him. Harrison Ford.
During their heyday I loved them both. Harrison Ford in interviews was so charming and so cute. He is aging pretty well. Haven't heard much from Kevin Costner. Both are cute and charming but not necessarily handsome in the traditional way.

I agree Bucky is not the best choice for American Idol, but I have lived here only 2 yrs and they sure are making it a Big Deal here. I won't vote for someone "just because." I want the true "American Idol." Love Carrie Underwood. I liked Kellie at first, not my fav, but now she is playing the dumb blonde way too well. I think she is best in jeans. Didn't fit the tight dress thing (pulling up the back and the boobs) with heels though she looked nice. Can't wait for next week and the 50's theme!!! Should be good. I definitely think Kevin needs to go. I do believe he actually thinks he is a sex symbol. I think Chris is cute and has a voice, but I HATE that rock and thinking you have to pick up the mic stand and play with it. Drives me nuts. Must do something for a few people. What's his name did it last season. Is kind of like football players taking off the helmets and doing a little jig in the end zone. Oh.....

I agree, Bucky's performance was at least fun.
Ace is always annoying. But I think Bucky was very fortunate to have lasted as long as he did. I'm sure he'll be able to find work, at least as a second job. There have been other country singers that did find even though they aren't great singers. I've never thought Brooks & Dunn had great voices at all, and they make a living.

I don't watch AI, but Bucky is from a nearby town. They
interview Rocky (his twin) on our local Fox channel frequently. He always has his hair back in a ponytail and it looks much better than what I've seen with Bucky and that hair all loose - and what is it with that wide stance I've seen on the previews. If it is supposed to be sexy it isn't. Anyway his brother doesn't seem to be a genius either, but he doesn't come across as a dummy either. Evidently he sings too and he said that both of them would probably move to Nashville and try to get something going.
Yeah. Bucky was not one of my faves but it was Ace's turn to go!

thought Mandisa was fabulous! Thought it was funny how these kids really weren't even familiar with Barry Manilow, guess I'm showing my age.
I think Bucky will go home tonight. I did not like Taylor's performance.
