To answer your question, not that it's any business of yours, no, I'm not OCD, but what I am is very sick of hearing about jobs from this country shipped out to India and other third-world countries to mindless people who have no clue how to do them, and when they do do them, the work is sloppy and substandard at best.
I'm also sick of how some doctors expect they are going to save a few pennies by engaging in the above practice and absolutely tickled pink when they realize there ain't no such thing as a free lunch and that one gets what one pays for.
Then I get even more tickled pink when they call my service begging me to handle their transcription and NOT to outsource their work, not that I would ever dream of doing such a hideous thing to begin with, even if I could get the work done for free.
Finally, I am absolutely estatic when they sign on with my service at the line rate of 15 cents/gross line and then totally estatic when they see immediately off the bat what a wonder job we do for them on a consistent basis.
It don't get any better than American made and produced, baby!
Any questions??

Wow, Kate...
If you would tell me what city and state you live in, I will locate a good mental health provider for you. Why are you all over this board spouting out stuff that makes you sound like a schizophrenic without meds?
I would really like to know what your problem is and why you insist on causing a broo hah hah in almost every thread.
And where do you live, Kate?
Do you have your own service by chance? Many companies are starting MTs out at 9 cpl. I don't think that is unreasonable at all as she would just be starting out and they would likely need to QA her for a few months until they feel comfortable with her work. Testing someone is not always indicative of how well they will do on an actual account, as I have found out in the past, so I always start my SCs out at a lower rate at first and increase their rate as I see what quality of work they produce and can reduce QA time. If an MT is exceptional and requires top pay to even begin working for me, then I might negotiate that but it's rarely a good idea since you really can't tell how well someone will do until they actually start an assignment.
For: clarification for Kate
I was referring to working as an IC for a service. Some services offer IC, SE and employee status positions.
That was not nice Kate.
If the advice is to seek a "professional opinion", then there would certainly be no need for this forum.
Geez, Kate/Medtrans, are you OCD?

Kate's obviously been out of social circulation too long
and passes her solitary days by picking fights on message boards.
Time to find a job outside the home, Kate.
Hey, that's good advice! Listen to Kate!
Seriously, that's sound advice for anybody! Good on ya, Kate! Have a great Saturday!
Kate, when or where was that free DL? I'm an MQer & I missed it. (nm)
