There are very experienced, quality-oriented, hard working MTs still in this industry. I am one of them, with 25 years experience, working as an IC. We won't work for pennies, myself included.
Now, if you are hiring for a large service, switching accounts on MTs every day, paying only 8 cpl, and expecting MTs to transcribe garbage, us hardworking, quality-oriented MT's are not going to work for you.
I have been working for the same company/client/account for more than 5 years now. My pay is well above the average line rate offered on the job boards, I work when I say I will and I give 100% quality, error-free patient records.
If that is what you are looking for, I suggest you offer the highest line rate possible within your budget to those MTs who deserve it.
