Jus' Ventin'

Just venting about this --- I am MTSO who took on a special project for one of my long-time accounts, which was basically STAT TAT and we made it well within time frame.  It was a $5000 project.  Well, to make long story short, after months of trying to collect, they stiffed me !!  I'm hearing big stories about marital woes with one of docs, hard times, yada yada.  One of gals in office called me and said the practice was circling the drain, a lot of staff had left, and they have re-invented themselves with a new practice name to avoid creditors.  She also said they are looking for new transcription provider.   I have paid my own girls, which was a huge strain on my cash resources.  I've sent doctors demand letter, threatened collection, etc.  I'm now at point where I actually am about to hire a collection agent.   I sure wish I could tell you the names of these Atlanta doctors to warn you all.

I'm not looking for sympathy -- it's partly my own fault -- I was trusting because of long history with client --  but it sure has taught me a lesson!  From now on I'm demanding a deposit on any special project!  Thanks for listening.
