Beets - sm
Depends if you want just plain beets or Harvard beets. Plain beets are good just reheated, as directed. Harvard beets have a sweet/sour sauce made with vinegar and sugar. Might want to check with son which ones he likes.

zucchini
have you ever had zucchini pie. 3-4 cups shred zuc, 1 cup bisquick, 1/2 cup veg oil, 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, 4 eggs sl beaten. Mix together, pour in grease pie plate, bake 350 for about 35-40 min. I add diced pepperoni to mine or diced ham. Delish. or zuch fritters, like potato pancakes.
What's your favorite zucchini recipe?
The garden is going nuts and I need some new ideas!

I love zucchini sliced and sauteed with onions, Rotel tomatoes, and crumbled cooked bacon (saute the zucchini in some of the bacon drippings if you can afford the fat/calories).
stuffed zucchini with hamburger/sausage
mixture, including one egg per pound of meat, onion, seasonings. Remove seeds from zucchini, stuff with meat mixture, and pour over spaghetti sauce, top with cheese and bake Delicious! Of course, you can vary this to suit your taste buds!

Are you calling the White people jerks? i.e., Irish, English, Arabic, Chinese, Iranian, Cajun, Creole, Japanese, Egyptian, Canadian, etc.? or the People of color - African Americans, Haitians, Fijians, Africans, Bahamians, Cubans, plus the aforementioned, mixed up any one of the above could be your cousin, ya overseer!

He's mad at me because he's off work for a week but I'm not. He expects me to be available to him whenever he wants me to do something with him or for him. (No, not that, silly.) He wants me to work and make money, but not if it interferes with his plans for me. He's turned into a real jerk lately.

Yummy grilled veggies
Take green peppers, red peppers, onion, squash, zucchini, asparagus, tomatos and slice them in thick, big slices. Marinade in sun dried tomato and basil salad dressing for a few hours with some garlic and salt and pepper. Then put straight on the grill and cook them. Very good.

When was the last time you linked to a website link and got the response "too many hits?" It just looks all too contrived. I have to admit that I did link there, but won't try it again. Maybe he's just getting a big kick out of the attention this is bringing, and our resultant frustration. Now, I will be running my Spyware and deleting any new cookies that are found.

some jerk wanted to kill my pigeons
I have lots of doves, regular birds (sparrows, finches, you name it) and pigeons frequent my property cause I put bird seed down. I had some guy come by last winter and ask if he could pay me to catch the pigeons so they could kill them and eat them..I said, honey, I love animals and there is no way Im gonna let you come here and kill my pigeons..you are talking to the wrong person, LOL..

Dinner..Flank Steak Fantastico
3 tbs Garlic powder
1 cup Teriyaki sauce
1 can Sprite or Seven-Up
1 nice sized flank steak
Marinate above for 24 hrs...then throw on the grill....ya gotta like garlic on this one

grilled NY strip, rice pilaf and a greek salad
I found this marvellous Greek salad dressing with feta cheese, made locally, called YiaYia's, and so I've been having lots of salads lately! :) It's still warm enough here (low 80s) to BBQ outdoors, which I love, so I'll do that, save the Foreman grill for when it's cold!
