JMHO---I would say no. I don't think you

can ever really get a good line count if you're constantly changing like that. I'm sure others have different feelings, but I know my production slows to about 30% of normal when I'm doing all new dictators. That's why you take the time to get used to them...so you can do them better and faster.

JMHO but I would stay put...
these nationals have really gotten crappy....crappy pay, crappy dictators, just plain crappy.  Since you are worried about your present employment, keep the job you have while working for a national and see what you think. Difficult decision, I know. Good luck to you.
JMHO and experience...

I have been an MT for over 5 years, 3 of which were in-house. Have been at home 2 years now, love it, have tried a few different companies. I am not out to make a lot of money, my husband works for a well known computer maker as a tech and makes very good money, I get benefits, etc. I work for extra cash for retirement, vacations, etc. That being said, I work full time, put in a full day of work, produce quality over quantity (try to average about 1500 lines a day, sometimes more, sometimes less) and just do the jobs that come along. Now, if I had to be the breadwinner my attitude would be different, I would work my fingers numb if I really had to make a certain amount of money.

It is not an easy job, I lucked out and went to a local community college, got a 1-year certificate, had an in-house job within 6 months, and stayed until I got the opportunity to work from home. It is not for everyone, experiences are different, and some companies are better than others. I take most things said here with a grain of salt....I do know that we are not just "typists", there is a lot of skill involved with the job and we are not dummies! I have the utmost respect for anyone who can do this job, take care of kids, clean the house, listen to crummy docs, and still come back and do it again the next day. Good luck with your decision.
