If you have an option on your monitor for taking the settings back to the factory default, I'd try that. If it continues, then I'm afraid there's a problem with the monitor itself and you may end up having to get a new one. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've been there. It's frustrating, to say the least.

Does it give you any kind of error message when it won't boot up or does it just sit there?
I know just enough to be dangerous, but it sounds like there could be a problem with the mother board.

Thanks so much for all this info...It sounds like you can get air cards that plug into USB ports that you can interchange between your desktop computer and your laptop for on-the-go or if there were a power outage. Am pretty low tech but seriously considering this. A lot would depend on the dependability of the signal from my home. If it were steady, I would consider cutting (ha ha) the cable internet which is 48$ plus taxes and just have the broadband (60$ ?) which I could use with my desktop computer or take with me using a laptop and also could use with a laptop in case of power outage. hmmmmmm

Has anyone disconnected the internal sound card and replace with another sound card?
I am having problems with my sound on one of my computers. Several different ExText program have been on it so I don't think it is the program and the sound is just now as clear as on my other computer. Has anyone switched (disconnected the internal sound care and replaced) to a new sound card? Did it make a difference.

Don't get the video
You pay an extra hundred for that video screen. Do you really think you are going to download and watch videos? and 7500 tunes? But the real reason besides the money is those screens are notorious for cracking and that is not covered under warranty.

Old terminology video
Hello! I was wondering if anyone remembered an old video that was used to train medical terminology. It was in cartoon style....and it taught the breakdown of terminology.....one I remember was gastr....gastruck...stomach.

The prosecutor in Atuba, I believe her name is Carin Janssen, said the father and the two boys can still be rearrested. They did not have enough to hold them but they are still part of the investigation. For any father to tell his son without a body there is no crime, how awful. You get a grip, it is so obvious the boy is involved and the two friends helped him cover it up.

I watched the video with the interview with the Aruban prosecutor, which was on MSNBC videos in the internet..check it out, maybe it is still there. She said the father was arrested for interfering with an investigation by talking to the boys and telling them no body, no crime.

Go to MSN.com, on the left side are all categories for the news. Go down the column till you see videos (or news videos), about three quarters down page. Click on that, a box will come up with a selection of videos to watch. To the left are categories you can pick from. There is also a search box. Type in Aruba in the search box, click on the arrow and all the videos from the case come up. There prosecutor is the blonde lady, about second row of videos. There were two sessions with her. Click on the play button under the video and you will be able to watch the interview with the prosecutor.

Moral of the story: Don't let your puppy play with kids unsupervised. Look into puppy class/puppy kindergarten in your area. Vet's office should be able to tell you where they are. They are fantastic for socializing puppies with other dogs, kids, and adults. Just completed class with my puppy. Sad to think how many good pups have been put down due to behavior of naughty kids/adults too. So happy this worked out for you and your kids.

Home Video to computer anyone?
Does anyone know anything about transferring home videos to computer? When I got a digital camera I had to play with the program which came with the camera for a while before I got the hang of it. I now have a digital video camera and trying to get the video to the computer. I think I have a program that edits video but it asks me about a source. All I did so far is plug the camera via USB port to the computer. Oh, the camera did not come with any special program. Any ideas. Thanks.

You can start very slow and not even do all of the basic video
start off every other day doing the video and on opposite days, walk one mile. I also changed my diet to high protein and low fat with lots of fruits and vegies. I lost 50 lbs starting like this and after only 2 months, I was doing the full more difficult video plus doing 5 mile hikes 2 days a week and an 8 mile hike a third day a week. It only took 4 months total to get to where I wanted. At age 36 I was looking better in a 2 piece swim suit than most 20 year olds! You CAN do it! Make your goal getting into shape, not losing weight. You'll be more successful thinking about it like that!

I looked for that video on YouTube and couldn't find it, and was wondering if there is more info. available on its origins, who made it, when the meeting took place, etc. Hayseed - did you find it surfing on YouTube, or did someone send it to you? Was it fairly recent? Did it have a title other than "How not to hire an American?" I think we might've lost one news organization's interest in it because of the difficulty in tracking down more info. regarding it, so I'm trying to find out as much as I can.

Just kidding. I'd suggest not using credit cards to pay debts. It'll only dig you in deeper. Look into a signature loan or putting a lien against a vehicle or house. Lower interest rate, pay off sooner.
Hi NYNT - wegmans owns their own chicken farms and this a video from a farm...but
supposedly it is the industry standard on how these animals are treated...you cannot even imagine the cruelty in your imagination.
Wegmans has officially denied it, I believe. I shop there still, but I refuse to buy chicken products/eggs there, and I usually mention it at the checkout whenever they ask if I have found everything...
Obviously, just me not buying those products does not help, but I can live with myself that way...now that I have that knowledge.
Beef, turkey, pork - it is all going on all over the country, wherever you buy it, whoever supplies it to the stores. More and more even the people working at the meat plants say the animals are not even dead when they are cutting them up...it is cheaper not to have to anesthetize them or kill them first.
The animals are filled with chemicals, also, and hormones, etc. Does that have to do with these really tall kids I see lately (smile) just a thought!

If new Career Step grads are not ready to work, why are so many of them getting multiple job offers? Some get four or five offers within a month of graduation. In the real world, the marketplace will determine who is ready to work and who is not. Whether or not a given MT is prepared to work is between her and her employer. AAMT is sticking its nose into an area where it is neither needed nor wanted, and they would not be doing this if there were not profit in it for them. If they want to do something for us, let's see them do something to stop the offshoring of our medical records. If they were showing real leadership on this and other substantitve issues, our salaries would not be declining. We cannot trust the AAMT.

I know that I am in no way ready to do this on my own. Others have said I should cut out the sm
