It says...

A separate sheet lists "conditions for cancellation of the contract" and says if I fail to work the account in accordance with the clients' requirements, and after being informed of failures and no corrections, this contract shall be terminated. (No words at all about termination from my end.)
But earlier in all the legal mumbo-jumbo, it says "...Nothing contained herein shall oblige or compel either XXXX or Independent Contractor to continue this business relationship, but same shall be done on an as-if-as-when basis, and solely at the accommodation and desire of both parties..." and it goes on to talk about them being the judge of my work, blah, blah.
"The duration of the contract shall be for one year, but at the expiration herein provided, notice must be given before the expiration hereof....In the event that such contract is renewed from time to time in accordance with the provisions hereof, by one or the other informing the other that such contract is not renewed; otherwise, it shall be considered and held that this contract shall be renewed for an additional term..."
My brain has real problems wrapping around what that all really says. Help!
As far as the noncompete, it is in the contract for a period of 2 years and also a separate sheet (for 36 months, there) to not offer services directly to client. This part is not a problem for me, I would be working locally in the future and wouldn't interfere.
